NGA Grading Association ??

Is this a legitimate grading company? I can find nothing about
them on line ..... NUMISMATIC GRADING ASSOCIATION
I bid on it thinking it was NGC - I can cancel the purchase if
I wish to do so - I HAVE NOT PAID YET
The coin can be seen here & blown up - does it look like a MS 67 ?

The top three graders are
PCGS
NGC
ANACS
Consider everything else as “ungraded”
I haven’t been around as much as others here, but I’ve never heard of them
Grading from pictures is tough, but those pictures are too poorly lit and the angles put parts of the coin out of focus to say anything.
And I’ll add, with be very careful with other grading companies … you are also looking for authenticity guarantees, too.
Not a 67 or even close...... cancel or return.
Cannot properly grade from those pictures... however, it is surely not a 67.... Plus, not a recognized TPG. Run, Forrest , run... Cheers, RickO
USMC there have been many certification companies that have come and gone. Stick to the top 3 PCGS, NGC, and ANACS so you don't get burned.

I think you could add ICG to that list. They are a legitimate grading service-in fact they used to be ANACS. Today's ANACS used to be ICG, too.
The grading "service" cited is another one of these phony self slabbers. There's a whole alphabet soup of these places.
Looks like a decent coin that has been overgraded. It comes down to how much you paid for it. Hopefully you didn't pay more than MS64 money for it. If it's not in an NGC, PCGS, ANACS, or ICG slab, treat it like it's a raw coin.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Have you bought the various coins you’ve been asking about in different threads? If so, since you’ve indicated that don’t know about the grading companies, holders or stickers, why ?

This is the only one I have bought that I have asked about. I appreciate all the input and will
stick with the 3 graders mentioned several times: PCGS - NGC - ANACS. I will cancel this order
as it has not yet been paid for.
Thank you for every ones input, appreciated. With each question I ask, i learn something.

@USMC you might find the book “Coin Collector’s Survival Manual” by Scott Travers to be enormous help in understanding the essentials of the hobby from slabs to cleaning to doctoring to grading.
It’s very informative and you can read it topically or all together as you like.
It's a 63 at best.
More power to you if you know that from those images. I can’t tell if it’s cleaned, a 63, 64 or a 65.

If you click on the OP auction link, there are blow up images that are much better to use for grading. I agree it is a MS63 at best.
USMC, you need to look at the term and conditions of Big Dog Coin Auctions: All items are sold as is and not returnable. I hope you can get your money back.
He said he hasn't paid for it yet.

Thank you. If it hasn’t been cleaned it looks like a 64 to me, but still worth quite a bit less than the winning bid.

I would add ICG to that list. Based on my experience they do a credible job.

I only pursue PCGS and NGC coins.
I will purchase a raw coin only after I have examined it in hand.

Kennedys are my quest...
Just a bit of advice, you are bargain hunting for high grade Morgan dollars when you have admitted that you cannot grade or spot problems, that is a sure way to end up with overgraded, damaged, cleaned junk coins. There is an old saying, "there is no Santa Claus in numismatics". Had you done even the tiniest bit of research and just checked the auction archives you would have seen that properly graded MS67 examples for this date/mm sell for 1K and up. In fact there are almost no dates/mm MS67 coins in the Morgan series that can be bought for less than $700. The information is readily available to you right here on this site, you can use it and buy with knowledge, or not.
My Collection of Old Holders
Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
I don't like the halos around the lettering. Light cleaning. Return.

I just quoted this so you would have to read it twice.

Hey Al - lots of good advice for you in this thread. I own a PGA slab but I bought it for my holder collection understanding the coin was less important to me. If you want to build a holder collection, that's one thing. If you want good quality coins which are accurately graded, then listen to the wise people on this forum.

You can't return what you haven't purchased.
Perhaps it is unc, certainly not a 67

UPDATE ON MORGAN PURCHASE FROM BIG DOG AUCTIONS
I had asked the following question to start this thread:
"Is this a legitimate grading company? I can find nothing about
them on line ..... NUMISMATIC GRADING ASSOCIATION"
I contacted Big Dog Auction stating that the morgan was not a
grade "67" it was advertised as. They agreed after one of their
coin people looked at it more closely and cancelled my order.
Thanks for all the replies, it was appreciated - I am still learning.
My lesson here was to stick with PSGS - NGC and ANACS for true
grades in buying coins
