Thanks. These relatively scarce medals are worth a regrade, depending on what others think it might grade now. I was thinking it could be, but then again submitting medals to PCGS can be challenging, so it may stay in this holder. I will post the existing grade later after I receive several more estimates.

Nice clean obv, except for the mark behind the head.

Rev: The head if Liberty is soft, this may limit the grade, depending on how they normally were struck.

I'll guess a 65.

I know zero about these but will assume the strike is strong based on the image and generalize 65/66+ considering the preservation and luster.

Something makes me think AU 58….but if it’s not wear that I see, then I wouldn’t be surprised with a grade as high as 65

After looking at several other graded examples, it appears the soft lack of details in Juno's hair on the reverse is the way many of these look.. I also found this article on the gold version and additional historical background on this that I did not notice in another recent post by @Zoins discussing some rare pattern strikes of this Morgan design.

Yes, but after this excellent feedback I am now going to send it in Monday as an NGC crossover and wait for a few weeks until the new PCGS grade comes back for the reveal.

It will be a while, but I can find this old post and will then let everyone know how things went. Thanks everyone for your input

.Aren't medals supposed to have the reverse the same vertical orientation as the obverse like military medals, and coins have the reverse upside down?

This Wilson medal has coin style orientation with the reverse upside down. Were these 1920 medals an exception?

Own a bunch and yes they are in coin turn.
I have researched these. I think there is one Gold one in Medal turn though, go figure.
There are silver plated bronze ones out there. done on the 50's and 60's. some in holders . this one looks OK
I say a 64 to 64+. above average piece.

Well it has been a very long GTG wait. This was in a NGC MS62 holder. It is now in a PCGS MS63 holder. Overall a nice result

I broke it out before submitting and expected the 63, but was hoping for a 64. It would not surprise me very much if I sent it back to NGC in this PCGS 63 holder, that is could double cross to 64 there. But for now I will keep it just like it as is, because it is a fine example of a fairly rare medal. Thanks for taking the time to look, and for your encouraging grading estimates.
