Added new pics - Is this a 1988 D with the FG initial’s error? some folks refer to it as a wide AM

It’s my understanding the FG initials would determine if this is an error. I’m just not sure what the initials should look like to determine if this is the error coin. Any help would be appreciated. Here are some photos.

We’d also need better closeups of the initials

============================
As far as the name, consider it a bad name choice.
Even though the initials are different between the regular variety and the new initials variety, they both have wide am.
It’s just later years that do have a wide am will have the new initials and the close am will have the old initials.
A cat is named cat. This is “wide am” and we just have to accept that name
You may not have the variety but that coin is in beautiful condition, dude!
If that coin would hit the MS 68, you'd be looking at close to a $200 coin?

The value of that coin if it were to grade 68 is a moot point. Please don’t give someone false hope.

Just a nice '88D cent.... Out of a mint set? Cheers, RickO
Nice copper look
It is a nice looking coin but IMO, it would not get a MS68 grade.
Great coin for an album.

Kennedys are my quest...
Adding a few more PICS from a scope.

Thanks
You have the normal 88-D reverse.
Check out that link I posted
At the bottom is a side-by-side comparison.
The regular is on the left, the variety on the right.
Thank you for sharing the link and taking a second look. Appreciate your help!
