The biggest surprise this season has to be Chiefs at 3-4
Agreed. Mahomes doesn’t trust his OL. He’s trying to make up for a bad defense. And the biggest reason is lack of running game. That would cure a lot of what ails them. Teams aren’t blitzing and dropping 7 in coverage. A running game would freeze the linebackers and open the middle. I’m not feeling sorry for them. Too many good AFC teams that could beat anyone any given week.
W.C.Fields "I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.

I think the bigger surprise is that The Chargers and Raiders slumped and allowed The Chiefs to retain 1st place. we use the term "parity" when we discuss this phenomenon, but I think it's a little closer to the truth to call it the overall weakness of NFL Teams. along the same lines, we have for decades used the phrase "on any given Sunday" anyone can beat anyone else. I look at it differently now, too, thinking "on any given Sunday" any Team can lose to any other Team.
How do you like the chances of your team pulling out the win this Sunday?
Not too bad - Harrison Smith is back as well as several others. If the offense and defense can play with the same rhythm as last week should be a good game.
And yes, Vikings Packers was a great game. If you would have told me before that in the end a team's defense would choke and the other team would run a great two minute offense with the kicker making a last second field goal, I would have undoubtedly thought it would be a GB win and not vice versa for that scenario.
Even without Covid, NFL needs to expand the current 53 man roster. With all of the injuries coupled with a longer season, they need permanent talent on the teams and not just the practice squad. Covid has exasperated this even more so.

I'm done
Ok, I might be back. Last week was a good game; this week's border battle with Green Bay will be interesting.
And it looks like the Chiefs are back?
