    Your photos appear DCAM.

    Can't determine

It does look DCAM to me but I'm not familiar with how PCGS assigns the designation on this series, as I assume you will submit it to them.

I can’t decide in order to vote. If it came back either way I would probably agree. If it was raw in my collection, definitely a DCAM.

It is very close and could go either way!!

I like the black fields but I am not sure that the devices are frosted enough!!

There’s plenty of contrast for DCAM but I can’t tell from the pic if the frost is thick enough. Then the spots will drag it down to 66/67 nonetheless it should be a break even so then worth a shot.

The pictures are great, but determining between CAM and DCAM by pictures is guesswork.... I will stick with CAM... in hand, it could easily be DCAM... but I reserve that fine line of evaluation for in hand review. Send it in and let us know. Cheers, RickO

DCAM to me, context is also everything in terms of the time period. There are CAM coins which shouldn't be designated cams, there are also CAM coins that should be designated DCAM.

Based on the photos, I think it makes cameo easily. Possible dcam but not likely. IMHO

I think some elements, like the tail feathers, are too weak for dcam. I hope I'm wrong and you get that dcam.

Don't wait, simply send in another order, and then again and again. Pretty soon you'll be getting grades every time you turn around :D
My last order took just about six weeks from start to grades posting. Good luck!

    Lol. You're funny, dude! Lol.
About my submissions. I'm not only waiting for the 1960 PF. Quarter, but also waiting for many more coins as well. I sent in a beautifully toned 1979 PF. Susan B. Anthony dollar, 2 more W Quarters and my 2020p heavily die clashed cent. The one with the letters, "E Pluribus Unum" on the obverse.
What I've been working on recently is purchasing two Mint rolls of the Jefferson 2004p and the 2005d. My LCS has them in stock, only the two rolls, one of each. I attend to buy them today or tomorrow? Not only hoping for one or both varieties. The 2005d "speared Bison" and the 2004p ddo, but maybe finding a super high grade to try to hit that ms 67 or 68! Big money.

Cool bro. I cherry picked my collection last night and found a 62 DDO Franklin proof. I still need to research to figure out which one it is and also give it a bath. There is a DDO FS-101 which, I think is what I have. Then there is a FS-901 listed with no mention DDO so I'm not even sure what that means yet.

I think I just found it, D on the bell is the FS-901, anyway after work :D

I can see why PCGS said just a cameo given the angle of the trueview. But also cameo is still contextual for the time period the coin was in and if photographed like in the original post I thought it would get deep cameo which is why I originally voted for deep cameo.

Well, deep cameo is more than just deep mirrors. It also requires the devices to look frostier than frosty the snowman. Given my limited time in the hobby I am not aware of any time period that this would’ve been considered deep cameo.

Thanks for posting the result. The True View locks it correctly as a cameo IMHO.

Yours was pretty obvious to me as a CAM due to the eagle's wings on the reverse. I've had some WTF moments opening packages back from PCGS with regards to cameo. I bought a Capital plastic holder 1954 proof set where the Franklin, Washington and Roosevelt IMO were locks for CAM designation. Here they are:

They came back 66, 66CAM and 67 respectively. As you might imagine, I was less than thrilled.

Joey, nothing can be done and nobody can help you if you refuse to acknowledge the clearly visible frost weakness in spots.

I wouldn’t have had it graded, personally, especially as a proof because all of those are high grades - and that way you can just assume it was DCAM. Also then you would have a 30 dollar coin for 10 dollars - much better!!

Our host chose just PF66 - no cameo whatsoever............ what say you??? I'm not bitching too much as I got this from GC for under $40.

@Steven59 it looks like weak frost on the lower bell area unless that is just shadowing from the image.
If mine I would crack and 3 second dip in basic silver jewelry cleaner as it might help the fields mirrors.

    The obverse looks frostaelicious.

I've wondered how this would grade if sent in. I think cam, but might have a chance at deep cam.

Based on the images (The go to disclaimer) you would be somewhere between 66 cam/ 67 no cam.
Don’t get mad at me PCGS has a reputation to uphold and they don’t do it by throwing grades around.

One example are the 1936-1942 proofs, there are coins designated cameo during those years that would never warrant a cameo designation if they were 1950-1964 proofs. There are 1950-1964 proofs that get the ultra cameo designation that would never get the ultra cameo designation if they were 2000s era proofs.

Okay, I see the progression and that's good to know and explains away a lot of confusion I was having when viewing some of these. Those older proofs pre 1950 are almost always worth grading anyway right?
