Waiting,as long as I can. Anticipating for any up and coming CoinShow...

Hi guys,
As we know this huge ANA Coin Show will be here (Illinois or Rosemont) in exactly one week. Well, in the meantime, I've been stacking Silver. Whether it's from my Coin roll hunting finds or even S. Coins I've had for quite some time. The fact of the matter is, I'm trying to hold off in selling all my silver so I can have the extra cash for this particular Show. Hoping prices tic up a tad. Silver prices seem to be frozen on the $25 mark. In which, is ok, I guess? I accumulated a good amount. Money is a little tight right now, to use my savings to enjoy any good show event such as this one. So I'm mostly relying on the Silver exchange to make my week a real pleasure at the Show. Is there anyone else out there that has my frame of mind when any show comes to town? Thanks guys. ;)

Sounds like a great plan.. I don't have that type of will power. I typically overbuy and scramble to catch up :D

I can’t part with my precious metals. I stack and hold.

If I need money for a show, I borrow from my savings or checking,, and replace the money when I receive my monthly pension. Or, I just borrow some money from my wife.

However, I will not be attending any coin shows anytime soon. Still avoiding large crowds.

    Enjoy the show Joey! :)

@joeykoins Your showing a box of quarters. How often do you find silver
in these? I was CRHing in the mid 70's and found one quarter (1963-D) in the
few hundred rolls I searched. I found bags and bags of 90% and 40% going
    thru Kennedy rolls. Just curious.

You are correct in those percentages. Not likely, but possible. Not too long ago I hunted down an actual "Standing Liberty". Yes, a 90% old series silver quarter. Also, not too long ago, some 1964 BU Washington's and even some silver foriegn as well.
Like mentioned, highly unlikely but doable. ;)

Adding to my stacks for the Show. :D

    After the 26th roll.

    End of the Quarter search.

    Just the lone silver Washington.
    Thanks.

Good luck on your silver sale.

Have a great show! ... and wear a mask regardless of what everyone else is doing.

@joeykoins You could also bring some coins that you may not want anymore and sell them. I went to the Bay State coin show and sold a few coins. I used the proceeds to buy some new coins and had $140 left from the sale.

I’ve often taken coins to a show to sell or trade for a new purchase. Expect the price you are quoted for any new decent piece to be beyond your wildest expectations. Be prepared to go home buried in something nice (done it often it’s not as bad as it sounds) or come home with some mediocre “bargain” you’ll end up wishing you still had your silver. Go with option 1.

Good luck at the show Joey.... Have fun, find a treasure.... Sell your silver, it is mostly profit from roll finds anyway. Cheers, RickO

Alright, I calculated the amount of silver I'm turning in. Not all, just for the show. It comes to approximately $300-$350. Mostly
40% er's. In which, I found in CoinRollHunting. 4 more days. I'll be going on Thursday and Friday. Excited!
Still hoping for any uptick in silver to boost my exchange? Probably, cashing in today or tomorrow. Thanks

    Cashed in!

    Alright., "Cocked and ready!"
    $350
I would easily say, $250 of that was from recent coin roll and bank finds! ;)

@joeykoins - what is the significance of the stack of 1,000 $1’s? I assume that they have value beyond face, but not sure why / how much value.

Lol. You do know that it really doesn't contain $1000, right? :D There are only two real dollar bills in the pile. The one on top and the one on the bottom. Looks real, huh? That's the COOL factor about the piece. Along with the size and weight. Thanks :) I'm selling it for $120. Paid $100.

Paper weight? Maybe just to add as a shelf item? How do you see it as interesting @joeykoins ?

Well, for one. At first glance. $1,000!
Then, in acrylic. If those two reasons don't peak ones interest. I don't know what will? :D
