1870 Half Dime *** BETTER PHOTOS***

it has clashed dies and some die polish lines. Looks to be proof like mirrored fields with blue toning. Now that I have figured out the lighting so that I can take better photos what do you think?
@HalfDimeDude I know you will want to look at these
EDIT* In these 2 photos i tried to capture the mirrored fields.

It looks great, but even an expert would be reluctant to attribute a proof from photos.
@yosclimber any grade opinion

I find the top two pictures too dark to evaluate, and the bottom one has excessive glare. Believe me, I could not do any better, so just take it as honest comments. Cheers, RickO
@ricko this one is super tough to photograph. Fields are mirrored and its so tiny. Would like to have a professional coin photographer take pics of it. Still looking for someone in the Boston area that could do it.
Edit* I have been told it is not a proof due to the date position being a V10

Gumby take the image at a 90 degree ,only take the entire coin rim to rim . No less than 90 degrees. Try lighting from above to lessen shadows. Less light less flash back fro the surfaces,

@HalfDimeDude 90 degrees? Its in a slab.

Lay the slab flat on a white piece of paper so no flash back put you lighting over the coin under th camera shoot the slab. Then enlarge the coin to show the entire coin.

Sorry, I don't have enough experience grading MS coins to provide an accurate grade.
Just got photos in for this. The guy hard a really difficult time with it, but way better than my photos. It has clashed dies also.

A beauty, but...
Is that a scratch on the reverse thru the H in HALF?

@Treashunt No its a die polish line there are quite a few. I think they tried to get rid of the clash die marks. If you look closely it goes underneath the H.

I like the new photos.

No one can capture a view better than having the coin in hand.

Kennedys are my quest...
@WAYNEAS In hand it looks like a proof coin. It is not thou. I love the new photos also. My photography always makes coins look much worse than they actually do. Now hoping this and a few other of my coins make it back safely thru the USPS.
