This coin went into an envelope and has sat on a bookshelf for almost a dozen years. She was a little pale but has picked up some toning in her new home. It was and still is raw but I might break down and send a handful in one of these days. Think it will straight grade and if so what grade ?
Anyone want to ID her variety as the clues can be seen in this pic.
Some coins are just plain "Interesting"

O-112 (I think)
I'd give it a 60/40 shot of a straight grade as it appears. AU50 if so.

Nice AU55 coin
Did it look different ten years ago? Pics?

Hey Bob, I will look for it. I know I did but trying to find it ….
Looks like an XF45 or possibly AU50 to me. Cheers, RickO

Interesting difference.

Interesting. To me, the grade seems a notch higher in the older/lighter photos.
Around AU53 in the older photos, around AU50 in the newer photos. I'm not sure it's the toning, maybe just that the newer photos are more detailed and show more issues that could affect the grade.
Nice looking envelope toning.
Might just be me but I like the before pictures better.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
Wow, ten years! I know a guy who could've done that overnight... (just kidding).
I think it has a great shot at grading mid-AU.
