Newp from my friend David Kahn, one of the good guys! ANACS AU-53? Cracking it out to my raw album.

I know him also, and he has excellent stuff! I'm always intrigued when he visits to see what he brought. B)

My latest Morgan, PCGS XF-40 CAC...

This is a nice coin! I remember seeing this issue in the Red book in the 1960's as a kid and I couldn't understand why this coin was so inexpensive in low grades and so expensive in high grades. I compared it to my dad's 1882-cc, which was more money in low grades and didn't go up too high in the upper grades. It seemed unfair to the 1882-cc.

I learned years later that there aren't too many 1892-s in higher grades and lots of 1882-cc.

A nearby coin shop find. This '51-P was found in the wild showing some obverse doubling.
