Phoenix Camelback Coin Show Report July 11

The Camelback Collectibles Coin Show resumed today (7/11) after a hiatus last month, to move locations. Formerly held at the VFW in Chandler, AZ, it is now held at the El Zaribah Shrine Auditorium & Event Center in Phoenix. I have only been a few times before, but this definitely felt bigger. Not sure if there were more dealers or not.
I went with my 10 year old son @Azjedi. We didn't buy alot, but filled some holes in our collections. He found the last 2 Franklin halves he needed for his Dansco album, which he was very excited to complete. He also bought about 30 Lincoln cents for his Lincoln Dansco. But he also wanted a PCGS coin, so he found this cool toned MS64+FBL Franklin, shown below. He collects PCGS MS64FBL Franklins, so this is a nice addition. He's so excited to show it at the Show & Tell tomorrow at the Arizona Territorial Coin Club.
I found a nice coin for my PCGS CAC 1st Year Type Set, an 1864 Bronze IHC. I was targeting a MS63RB, but this 64BN had plenty of red in it. I paid high end of retail for it, but was able to upgrade from my target MS63 to MS64, for less than the MS63RB would have cost.

Very nice coins, and it sounds like it was successful outing for you and your son.

That’s honestly a sweet looking ‘55 Franklin.
Sounds like a great day.
Every time I see the word Camelback I wish I was staying at the Royal Palms.
Thanks for the reminder.
Upon closer examination, the IHC is a repunched date. The date through the loupe matches PCGS's photos for the 1864 RPD FS-1301 S-2 (006.48). Even had my non-collecting wife validate. Guess I'll send it back to PCGS for the designation.
Thanks for the report.... Nice cherry pick on the IHC....Cheers, RickO
Great new pickups, I'm normally ambivalent about Franklins, but that coin is gorgeous!
Looks like your son is well on his way in this hobby.
Sounds like a great day w your son!!
And nice coins as a bonus!!
Yeah very nice Franklin. Do you have a reverse pic?
Nice coins.
If it wasn’t for COVID protocols I’d be in PHX (Tempe) for training this week and might have gotten to go.
I’d definitely be buying some coins in person. Instead I get to have 44hrs of zoom meetings plus homework in the evenings this week…really happy for you getting to have the coin outing with your son.
Love that Franklin he picked up. ‘55 is my favorite Franklin year and I would add one like to at to my collection in a heartbeat.
Yeah, I'll add one tomorrow. It's not toned, pretty white.
I was going to take pics with my DSLR macro lens, but we’re at the coin club waiting for it to start and I figured I’d post it now.
