IHC collection finally complete!

It took me 12 years but I finally finished my IHC collection and thought I share it with you folks who would appreciate it a lot more than my wife who just said "well isn't that nice." I started out "old school" with a Harris folder and my only requirements were chocolate brown coins in the F-VF range with a full Liberty. I have now moved it into a Dansco album and am very pleased with the overall look of the set. I was very fortunate to find some nice key and semi key dates at very reasonable prices, the 69/69 proved to be the most difficult to find in the right condition and look. Please excuse my marginal pictures, it does look better in hand. Now on to Braided Hair large cents in VF-XF.

So,,,,,, was the 69/69 the last coin you purchased for the collection or just the hardest to find?

    Nice set.

Very very nice set, and well matched.
Having built or helped to build a number of sets of these over the years, I can really appreciate your accomplishment!
The stretch from ‘67 - 78 is really tough, the 1886 types are somewhat challenging, and the 69/9 is downright rare in the middle grades.

    Well done!

Wow! That's a great looking set! You displayed plenty of discipline to get what appear to be attractive, meaty and original coins.

Congratulations, great set. I am impressed. I have always loved Indians. I wonder if NGC would correct the error on the date as the coin need not be returned?
    Again good job.

I inherited my father's IHC set when he passed when I was 11 YO. I always thought that I would buy the coins to complete his set. But after thinking it over, I just keep his set special as these were coins that he found in circulation.

And I will always cherish his accomplishment in his album. My children will inherit his accomplishment, although incomplete, as it was what he found in circulation.

In his memory I completed a set of IHC proof coins ( Paha Sapa indian proofs in the Registry).
My tribute to my father was the finest proof IHC's of which he had not imagination.
