OP. On the other thread you said you canceled your PCGS membership. Why?

Just curious. That was your best chance to prove us all wrong. :*

No, I never ran from anything. The coin is a struck through error coin. Mule kept it moving.

    Okay Professor,
You profess to be an educated person so this should be easy for you to understand.
The mark on the obverse of your coin that you keep insisting is an error of some type and happened when the coin was made is clearly a scratch. The scratch on the coin is shiny, if it was done when the coin was made it would have the same color tone or patina as the rest of the coin. It would also indicate it was done in the not so distant past.

This coin is being inspected by the Department of the Treasury. I’m awaiting their results.

And what do you expect them to say? Assuming you ever get it back, I have no idea what they might say as I would not expect them to be an expert on any of this (PMD or error).

It is painfully obvious to many experienced people here (including some actual error experts) what the issue is.

Iftevamzarockin which coin the 1959 penny or the 1975 dime. As for JBK, I was told about they’re backed up due to the COVID-19. But that they have received the coin. As to if I get it back I think I will. If not it wasn’t ment for me to have. And I apologize for the political comment

OK, so let's make sure I understand this....

You have cancelled your PCGS membership but they still have your coin for grading, and the Department of the Treasury is inspecting the coin.

OK, perfesser, that clarifies things. :#

As for my 2 million dollar 1919 penny Pcgs metallic composition analysis test came back and it was 95.6%CU,3.3%SN, and 1.2% ZN. The standard for this coin is, 95.5% CU, 3%SN, and 1.5%ZN. The Royal mint wants to perform more testing?

I taught for many years in the CUNY system (Bronx Community & Baruch Colleges), my title was Professor, but I always referred to myself as an instructor.

You, Sir, with your clear denial of facts presented by experts, stubborn ignorance, and false credibility, show yourself to be just as flawed as that parking-lot reject you claim is an error.

I highly doubt your claimed (retired) professional status. Unless you were PoliSci, then your delusional comments are understandable.

  • Instructor huh? I don’t give a flying F…?, about your opinion. I’m just following what is out trying to make a few bucks like everyone on this forum. And it’s not cool to be disrespectful boy.

Yes I am sure the Royal Mint is interested in testing a 102 year old coin for quality control purposes, especially since they don't even make solid bronze coins anymore.

Have you ever heard of tolerances? What was the leeway allowed in 1919?

I think its the Royal Hospital that needs to do more testing. ;)

I noticed when he first announced his profession he actually said "ex" instead of "retired" professor. I thought that was odd.

:o I am not sure whether to be offended or agree with that comment. :D

I am not as good with the memes as some here. I am surprised no one has posted a picture of that famous shipwrecked professor. Either that or Jerry Lewis as the Nutty Professor. :)

Yet again, looks like someone is trying to pull something, but is really bad at it. To be fair, he did actually find a dime dated 1975, this time. ;)

Remember when the OP "cherry picked a 1933" UK penny, and the photo of the reverse was, conveniently, too out of focus to see the date?

    https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1044334/1933-king-george-v-penny#latest

What a coincidence that the current dime photos are also conveniently out of focus - except that it is still apparent that the date is 1973. Not that anyone would mistake it for a proof, in any case.

Looks like someone is trying to pull something, but is just really, really bad at it.
