I would have but but that darn bottle of EZ-Est got in the way.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
Weirdo. Next time drink Whiskey.

Yes, I submitted some selections from my type set.
Well. . . not now after seeing the competition!

Nope. While my only showcase does have some toned coins in it, it's not the theme of my set.

Nice sets @bolivarshagnasty
I posted a thread a few months ago but didn't get much traction. Here it is again:

Below are a US and World Coin that are each cornerstones of their respective sets.
Here are a couple of nice US Showcases:
Aurora Borealis - Mostly high grade Morgans https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/collectors-showcase/2021-u-s-toned-coin-competition-sponsored-by-legends-rare-auction/aurora-borealis-collection/9748
MADHATTER - Mostly high grade Mercury Dimes and Walkers https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/collectors-showcase/2021-u-s-toned-coin-competition-sponsored-by-legends-rare-auction/midget-widgets-wicked-walkers/9921
There are a lot of special coins across these showcases. Nice Lincolns, nice Type, moderns, nice high end from Black Cat, bolivarshagnasty certainly has a nice showcase....so many great showcases! Hours can be spent going through them. I hope the showcases remain after the competition is over. I know some people spent a lot of time on descriptions as well.
Had this competition happened 5 years ago or so, I would have been able to participate, not win but I certainly would have been proud of what I had with my 1950-1964 Toned Proofs.

As a toned coin collector, seeing all the awesome showcases was pretty exciting. Thanks again to Legend and Stephen Album for sponsoring this event.
I submitted a selection of my 8 Reales:

Special thanks to Legend for sponsoring this. I am a big Morgan Toner fan!
When do results get announced?
On or after July 15th.
Amazing coins. Nothing I have comes close.
So many types of beautiful toning.
Really looking forward to judges opinions.
I have many nicely toned coins but I did not submit or make a set of them.
Wayne
Kennedys are my quest...
There were some great sets. Not sure how many people viewed them, unfortunately.
I went with some old crusty toners.

My current "Box of 20"
I’m very curious to see who won first place, second place and the collectors choice award. Wonder when they will release that information.

I see AB at the top of the US toned registry competition. The best of the best toned Morgans with a few other really nice examples to round out the set of 20. Hard to compete with when you have this MS68 "Moose" in your corner.

I think with Morgan’s there will always be a big advantage. The only thing is which Morgan collector will come out as the top. Wayne and one other guy both have superior sets that I feel will butt heads for that top spot.

Sets that, IMO, have superior toning and contain no Morgans include:
Terry’s
Bolivarshagnasty’s
Wind River
USPI
Rainbow Silver Eagles
Brad’s
I gave it the old college try. It's mostly Mercs, but I mixed in a few other types. Also I set up an album and used that to help decide what coins to include.
The showcase.
Edit to add that these are three different eras of TrueViews. I think they've dialed it in nicely, as seen with the dime. Two of these three have been in my collection for over a decade; one is a newp. I never did find just the right Morgan to drop in before the deadline.
that's odd. with your taste, i thought it would be primed with toners.
Awards Nearing Announcement.
I’m told they are hopeful to be able to announce the Toned Showcase awards during the ANA. However, they do not have a definitive date at this time.
The foreign toned coin competition also has many gorgeous sets.
My favorites include:
Aurora Borealis
Bolivarshagnasty’s
