Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

It's not fraud or lies or misgrading, it's somebody who doesn't know anything about coins. Nobody sane would ever mistake that coin for a PCGS MS66+RD CAC piece and nobody who was hoping to commit fraud would use it. eBay enables this by giving people the ability to easily copy existing listings. Is it really any surprise this sort of thing happens?

I don't know if you need better glasses but after looking at
the photos of that penny I think maybe I do.
I contacted the buyer and explained the terms in the title to him.
