U.S. Air Force 2.5 Ounce Silver Medal

OnastoneOnastone Posts: 3,786 ✭✭✭✭✭

Any interest? Being released 6/22/21...$160 and it's a pretty heavy medal.

For some reason this reminds me of Star Wars. "Use the force Luke."

If it had a C-130 or a security forces airman on it, I’d be hard pressed to pass on it. HUA

Pleasant enough piece. Not something I'd pay $160 for though.

"Excellence in all we do"? Man, if the F-35 is excellence, I'd hate to see something half-baked.

Yikes, no, ugly yes. Too bad on that. Really shoddy "artwork" IMO on this one. No style, just plunk a couple of images in there....

It looks like a depiction of a mid-air collision.

I like it. But the premium on their medals always scares me off.

It is a military themed medal and all our troops deserve recognition with such medallic tributes. Cheers, RickO

Ugly art work on a piece of bullion. Medal? The Air Force Commendation is a medal. That is just bullion prettied up to sell and higher than spot.

I agree with your statement regarding our troops deserve everything we can give them, but should we be beaten with the mint dollar stick to have one. What portion of the $160 goes anywhere near the military?

USAF Stripes on their sleeves, Enlisted, E-4, SrA in the front, kinda hard to see the female in the middle and the male in the background. (Base or USAF) Honor Guard tab on the left sleeve, below the sleeve seam and Dress Aiguillette.

Only 5 days to go for this one, but it's so much...$160...for 2.5 oz, you could get a 5 oz silver puck for just $70 more...

    Agreed on the price.

    $160/2.5 oz. = $64.00/oz., which is nearly 2.5 x spot.

I started using Chrome browser. Got the reject message. Logged in using Fire Fox keeping Chrome on and at the final check out page. Did the test twice then success. Maybe I'll use Fire Fox in the future.

Got the first email confirmation @ 6:04 HST

11:07 signed on, product in bag, went through to final review - no human test, then it said my order couldn't be processed at this time, try again later or call customer service (which my text reminder said you had to order on line). I hit refresh and the order confirmation page came up. I'm not sure if I have one or not, I more wanted to test the process for the upcoming on sales. We'll see.
