Hey folks, just found this site on Etsy (I sell handmade jewelry there) and although I'm new to numismatics, I have no doubt everything here is fake, and being sold as genuine. I would love some confirmation from the experienced folks here before I try to pull the plug on them. The crap is coming out of Russia...

    you nailed it. most of it is pretty obvious thankfully.

    never saw the counterfeit 2c 1905 mexican though. i found an authentic one in a batch of stuff one time and it is a very sought-after date along with many in that era.

    Unfortunately its not quite obvious to the casual buyers that leave them 5 star reviews......Since I posed this found 5 more stores on Etsy, all out of Russia, selling the same stuff. Have reported them all to Etsy, wonder how long and if they will shut them down...

    Interestingly, the 2nd ever feedback there says, "Not authentic. The item is a copy." Yet people still continue to buy from them. These sellers are a blight on the hobby, thanks for pointing this one out.

    So I think that posting real, authentic coins that are on Etsy would require less time and effort than reporting the crap fakes. :D lol

    The social media sites are filled with counterfeits.... Preying on the newcomers and those who think old is good...Cheers, RickO
