The seller is a pawnshop owner. Pawnshop owners are usually "Jacks-of-all-trades and Masters of none". He may have been taken. I have seen this more then once. The 1885-CC sold and should be reported also. I do not know much about gold so I cannot tell you if this gold coin in this auction is real or not:
