That’s amazing. It’s actually quite extraordinary that we had 400,000 1000 ounce bars available. I guess we owe something to the silver lobby!
I did not know that the Treasury actually got back more silver than was loaned to the Manhattan Project, even though there were of course some losses. Interest paid in physical silver!
