I still have a major problem with this 09S-VDB counterfeit listing!

The person list this 09S-VDB but in the title he doesn't say its a "Reproduction" (Counterfeit) he does in the description.
Next issue is its my understanding that a reproduction of a US coin can be legally sold in the US but it has to be clearly stamped "COPY" this one is NOT!
Its not a question of the coin being a fake or a counterfeit, but rather is it legal to even sell inside the US?
When I first saw it this morning the price was up to $35.00 now its over $150.00 (B.S)
I think this listing should be taken down!
Your thoughts?

Good Grief! its only been a few minutes sense I started this thread and the price on the counterfeit is over $200.00
The coin itself should be stamped "COPY" and the title should not read "1909S-VDB Lincoln Cent" either it should read
Reproduction (COPY) of the 09S-VDB Lincoln Cent!
This is Total Bull Sh...

Read those descriptions, people! Otherwise you have no one to blame but yourselves.
Reported
If enough of us report it - it will be gone.
The coin does not adhere to the hobby protection act-thus, not allowed on ebay. The coin is clearly a fake (To those who know). Like you said it should have "COPY" on it somewhere. However, we do not know when the coin was made, therefore, it may not be a hobby act violation if the coin was made before the hobby protection act became law. Either way, the listing it not allowed.
Reported.
I agree that it should not be allowed on eBay but the lot description clearly states that it is a reproduction. No way would I bid that kind of money without fully reading the description.
It's not just the bidders' fault! It is listed under:
Coins & Paper Money>Coins: the US>Small Cents>Lincoln Wheat (1909-1958)
The title doesn't declare what it is.
If eBay is to be trusted, and it should- this type of deception is against their rules!
Thus, yes- there should be personal accountability, yet the seller is at fault too.
Shame it is now nearly at $600.00 too.

Just looking at the picture the "B" in VDB doesn't look right, raises warning lights for me and I would pass on bidding without even reading the description. Better to be safe than sorry. I believe the seller knows that most people won't even read the description, must be a used car salesman in his real life.....

The guy states deep in the description that its a "Reproduction"
The periods in the VDB are way to close to the rim!
The period between the D & the B is to close to the D!
The center bar of the B isn't slanted!
The coin is a 100% counterfeit, the seller knows it, but he didn't title the listing as such.
The listing needs to be taken down!
Good grief $700.00 for a $3.00 Novelty Token!!!
This actually makes me mad!

I got the same error message.
It is against eBay policies.
That said, this is all on the bidders. The seller is not misrepresenting it. Two (or more) idiots are bidding it up while treasure hunting.
On the flip side maybe someone who spends such serious money on an obviously bogus item as seen by the many who have taken the time to LEARN about and understand what they are buying, DESERVES to be fleeced.
The listing is still up, and the bidding is up to $900.00 for an illegal counterfeit coin!
I just noticed this!
"Seller Does Not Except Returns"
The people bidding on this believe its genuine, its uncirculated (he claims) that means its possible for the price on this to go up to $2,000.00 or more!

The seller accepts returns, whether he thinks he does or not.
Reason for return: "Item as described."
You're actually not logged in. You can see certain basics...but trust me, you're not logged in.
Try to place a bid and you will see...
It's up to $900 and I just reported it too.
I said in a counterfeit report "Obvious counterfeit. Listing description doesn't matter, not indicated fake on coin."

It doesn't matter if they describe it as a reproduction in the description or not. It is an illegal counterfeit.
And the title states it as "1909S-VDB Lincoln Cent" and its NOT!
The title should at lest state "Reproduction Of The Famous 1909S-VDB" Read Description. That way people would not be deceived and the bidding wouldn't have went over $5.00
I also agree with you on it being an illegal counterfeit coin.

Those people are properly known as "bidiots."
When I click on the link above, I get this:
Ended. Excellent!
Ended by the seller (or so it said when I looked)....said 'no longer available'... I hope it was really pulled and not sold back door style... Cheers, RickO
Maybe the seller couldn't sleep, or knew he'd be haunted by demons forever if sold it at all
