I posted this and owned this many years ago, but sadly, they're all gone now.

But just having these early halves stacked in a roll was a numismatic treat.

    This is my favorite coin. Has it all, flashy luster, great strike beautiful gold toning no visible marks

    I think the "fingers" are inconsistencies in the die when it was tooled... it looks "as struck"...
