Peace Dollar in Lucite

Had this for quite a while, just thought I'd share...
1922 Peace Dollar envelope/mail holder I use on an everyday basis.
I think I paid around 30 bucks for it many years ago.
Probably a 62 or 63 coin IMO which makes no difference whatsoever.

Speaking of using random Peace dollars for things...here's one of my card protectors for my live poker tournaments
I get my 2nd Pfizer shot on Monday so hopefully I'll get a chance to use this soon again!

That's too cool Lee!

A coworker of mine found this one (looks like a paperweight) for 4 bucks at a garage sale and resold it to me for 8! Still a good deal, too bad some idiot saw fit to hairline the hell out of it before being encased. Still a cool thing to have though, and so well struck too. Like the fact it's a 1926 too, not one of the more common dates.

I have seen one or two of these show up in antique shops....always a ridiculous price. I wonder if anyone has tried to remove one from the lucite? Seems it would crack easily and then acetone would remove the residues. Cheers, RickO
Quick search shows acetone will dissolve lucite.....if it were mine I’d try it, what do you have to loose?
I purchased this "paper weight" from the US Mint ages ago.
