The 1964 SMS coins were found in the estate of a former mint director in the 1980's. The coins were purchased by a prominent dealer and were authenticated by a TPG (in the early 90's?). As far as I know, no 1964 SMS coins have been found outside of this group. Unless you can trace your half back to the estate of Mint director Eva Adams, or have some other provenance to someone at the mint in 1964, the chances of finding one is extremely low.
What's the easiest way to know if you have a 1964 SMS coin? Look at the slab label
These are the details that the "get rich from pocket change" you tube sites fail to mention.
The coin you show is an ordinary Unc. that is worth melt value because it is .900 fine silver. Don't waste your time looking for 1964 SMS coins. See earlier comments in this thread for why.

business strike
Definitely not accented hair.
Accented hair is only on proofs. That is not a proof.
The SMS coins are not found in the wild.
It is just a business strike.

Not the accented hair.
Definitely not an Accented Hair.... They are proof coins with distinctive pick up points (PUP's). Cheers, RickO

Kennedys are my quest...
I would put an "accent" on the fact that your coin doesn't have one.

I second this.
For accented hair reference check here https://www.pcgs.com/coinfacts/coin/1964-50c-accented-hair/6801
But as mentioned, that is a proof only variety and you have a circulation strike coin.
