Yes! Believe it. For a DDO NGC 2019p Memorial Quarter. Sold on the Bay. Check it out guys. The coin isn't even really in that great of condition. Lol Keep on the HUNT. I found this out through BlueridgeSilverHound, on YouTube.

No, not $50,000,000, $5,000,000 or even $500,000. You added an extra “0” (and a comma in place of a period) to the price. It was already more than high enough without that.😉

It could have sold for an Offer under $50k.
Apparently, it did not sell for best offer. It does seem fishy that it would sell for that price, however. I wonder what the buyer has in mind. It is still within the 30 day return window - I wouldn't be too surprised to see the same seller relisting that coin in the near future.

Remember ... the VarietyPlus service is an extra $15 and will add 5 days to the grading. That's just too much in the rapid-paced world of modern coins!

Here's a question, is "Discovery Coin" the right moniker if the Mint tells you the coins are struck?
If so, shouldn't every release have a "Discovery Coin" for the first one certified by a TPG?

i think we've discussed this coin. i'll have to verify it isn't one like it.
i'm recalling some banter i had about the discovery label not having ddo but i think the person whom discovered it was the one that started that thread. i think others asked about the designation as well. the main question was since these had discovery for the first ones sent in vs any other type of discovery designation.
will dig for it some time later.

My Three 2019p DDO Finds
Here are two of the three. The latter one is more defined and has less die deterioration than the first two. However, same doubling in the vital areas. I believe, my third find is an Early Die Stage?
Most 2019p DDO's, including the $50,000 one on Ebay. Including my first two.

tyvm PCGS as the search seems to be working great as of late.
The '42-D DDO-001 25c is very evident even on low grade examples such as this one by the extreme width of the letters of "LIBERTY" and the strong doubling of the motto.

i guess this is the end of my efforts i can think of for now.
Ok. I have received clarification that the coin DID NOT SELL for $50,000.00
This is part of the response I received from the owner of the coin:
"Hey WQuarterFreddie. Sorry for the confusion but no the coin didn't sell. It was a canceled transaction that ebay has not updated."
This should put the speculation to rest. Thanks again to the owner for responding so quickly to my inquiry and for his honesty about the error by Ebay.
The final answer is NO.
There was a problem with ebay and the sale of this coin was canceled immediately. This coin has not been sold. I'm not sure why ebay has not updated the info. I have contacted Ebay, BlueRidge and CoinFacts and let them know this coin has not sold.I guess its up to them if they are going to retract the info. I have tried to get anyone to give me a ballpark estimate and have not got a response. Hence the 50k price tag. The auction houses don't know what this coin is so they won't sell it. I've tried them all. I was thinking someone would make a decent offer. I'm newer to all this so still trying to navigate with little to no help. I don't know what the coin is worth but I'm not giving it away for 50 or 500. I'll just keep it no big deal. I had some graded with a pedigree since I'm the discoverer. That was my intention before i even found these coins.
I thought that would be cool and can't believe it every time I look at them. Sorry for the confusion. Let me know what you think about these.
Personally, I wouldn't have posted all of them like that because you just killed the "rarity" angle for them in my opinion. 😂🤣
However you did just clarify what I have been saying all along that they aren't super rare. I do feel that if you are a DD collector they are a must have for your collection!😎
