The rules are near the top of the page. Maybe your post was too large?

A lot of posts disappear into an "approval" black hole" if you edit them after
posting for misspellings or anything else.

    "Approval" never comes . . .

The little PREVIEW button near the Post Comment button is your friend . . . .

    It's a "feature" not a "bug" . . . . .

Only seen it when one attacks members or PCGS, NGC, CAC. Bring up politics or vax?

Do it enough an in comes the Ban Hammer

I've had that happen if I try to post an image with no comment.

When it's happened to me - and it's been more than a few times - clearly, it's had nothing to do with the content of my posts.

I’ve had that happen on numerous occasions. It’s a forum bug and it has nothing to do with the content of the post. It seems to occur most often when my post includes a quote from another poster, to whom I’m replying.

This. And if I edit this post now that it has a quote it will likely go poof.

As a suggestion, if you have gone to the trouble to make a lengthy responsive post and think for whatever reason it might not be approved, then copy and save it before you hit the post button. If it disappears you can go back and repost it with whatever corrections you need or if there is a quote involved then requote the post and add the response anew without having to recompose it.

Question for OP: What is a Tonner?

It happens a lot if you post a link to certain websites. Perhaps sites that asked not to be linked here? Sometimes you never know. I had an honest question about references to CAC that was removed, probably because there was another CAC thread that got ugly. I don’t see how mine would have gotten ugly but they removed it all the same. I just don’t let it bother me.

First welcome aboard. Second as stated above, start a new post but pay attention to what people have listed here as a concern as to why your original post was not approved.

Removed versus a software bug of needing approval are not the same, friend. :)

Right. I’ve had things removed for approval with a link and I’ve had things removed entirely. Same net result.

He, I and others weren’t talking about having anything “removed”. We were discussing a bug, which seems to occur when editing a post (which has already been posted). On the occasions when it happened to me, it had nothing to do with a link or a subject that was even the least bit controversial. It was a bug, not a censor of any kind.

@MFeld, I don't usually SHOUT, but I do edit my posts about 80% of the time after writing them. I learned how to write and speak in Idaho public schools, and from time to time little tidbits of grammatical catastrophes creep in.

Thank you all for the good help! I'll try posting it again. It does have a good few links, so maybe that's the issue. They're my cited sources for the information I am trying to present.

Hmm. It still says it needs approval. Might never work... Oh well, it's available on other forums to read!

It may be some sort of inadvertent subversive electronic interference radiating from microchips that have been inplanted into some well intentioned members- thinking they were doing what’s in the best interest of all. Who knows!?
On top of that, I might even speculate that there could be some electrical interference between all the birds out there- that aren’t really birds, but complex instruments of mass surveillance! They sit on the power lines to recharge and when too many gather this time of year, and they are too close together, sometimes things get weird. ;-)

But then again, it might just be some minor and harmless misunderstanding or confusion of words with no harm or ill intent intended.
