I have found that in spite of titles, I still have so much to learn. So I just keep on moving, reading, studying, practicing, training and having fun..... I am sure some of it will be retained... Cheers, RickO

I always expect the absolute worst of anybody or anything. That means nobody or nothing can ever disappoint me. My dad always said the way I act I would never live to see 21. I will 63 in May. What an overachiever I must be!

I used to be a great Master Baiter in my younger years. I could Bait and re-Bait all day long and day after day for weeks in a row without a break. You would be surprised at how much hand and forearm strength is required to be a Master Baiter! I think Popeye was definitely a master baiter with those forearms!

I tell ya, I am older now and I can still bait... but not like I used to. After a day or two my hands start to tire and stiffen up and baiting just doesn't work the same when the fingers don't move so freely. I can still bait good for a day like I once did but not for weeks at a time. Now I don't bait hardly at all. I am sure I could get it back up with practice but working the deck of commercial fishing boats is not something I do much anymore. I am slowly resigning myself to the fact that I have lost the title of being a Master Baiter...
