No offense intended here, but I am almost 100% positive that every sports card I ever bought ended up clipped to my bicycle fender struts with a clothespin to make it sound like I was riding a motorcycle, and you just kinda made me regret that!

The 15.00 I spent for a 1980 Rickey Henderson PSA 9 back then is now worth 3-4k... think I'll stick to cards... thanks guys!
Well that’s hardly a fair comparison. If you had purchased a gold double eagle in the 80s, it might fetch the same return that your Henderson is commanding. However, the very common proof Franklin you bought, is equivalent to sticking a 1986 Topps Lenny Dykstra in a drawer for years. Paid 35 cents for the pack, worth 2 cents today.
@Downtown1974 ....I wasn't levying a serious judgement of the coin collecting hobby vs. Cards.... I am aware vaguely of the differences in quality no doubt... just more so in cardboard. cheers.

Sports cards are certainly booming that’s for sure. I was a card collector for 30 years. I sold my 1955 Topps set in PSA 6 and 7 back in 2009. I did very well back then, but I would have made a killing today. I’m amazed at some of the prices cards are commanding. It’s a crapshoot. I’ve taken my licks and turned nice profits in both hobbies. Happy Collecting!
Nice Franklin... I am sure it looks a bit tatty due to the old 2x2.... Take it out and get a good picture, then we may be better able to appraise the coin. Cheers, RickO

1.5 ~ 1.6 million????
Based on your picture and recent eBay sales, around $15.
How about .00001% of your above estimate or about $15.
I think I paid more for it back in the early 80's.... SHEESH!

You bought a PSA graded card in the early 80's?
Heck this week the Henderson PSA 9 might be worth 10-15 k.
No Mason.... I bought the cards in packs and kept 'em in plastic pages for years until PSA came into biz.

Have a look at the reverse. If it looks like this it will be worth a little more than 15 bucks.

Ok- thanks. Too bad you didn't buy this half dollar for fifteen bucks back then...
Odd this is posted here when a quick look on eBay would have provided the information.
I've been trying to cherrypick one for over 30 years.
Cool thing to find after these years
Nice one!
