Yeah... I would question that color too.... First question "Are you kidding me??"... Second question "You must be joking right?" Third question "Did you really think that would get by?" Cheers, RickO

I agree that there is color on that Peace dollar. And that it is questionable. But I gotta admit it isn't totally ugly.

I've seen a lot of Kennedy's with the same "questionable color".
Definitely AT. Rumor has it that is done by an injection thru the slab. :s
A certain name keeps coming up on on the person doing this. Won't mention this person by name but there have been discussions posted about him and the process. They also have been listed by major auction houses. The Kennedys are low cost coins that demand higher costs with the AT.

    Kennedys are my quest...

The reason they might be toned in the slab is to retain a straight grade. That one is QC which would indicate it went in raw.

There really is nothing "questionable" about it. It is 100% artificial. But as long as there is a market for it, this will keep happening and legitimate collector coins will continue to be ruined.

I was gonna say; buy, dip, and sell but you're upside down from the start.

Yes I agree it went in raw.
I have seen Kennedys that were AT'd in the holder and then resubmitted for the NFC chip and a TV. This failed of course. Now since they couldn't get the coin reholdered, they will do only coins that do not have a TV, then artificially tone it and put it up for sale to an unsuspecting buyer or a buyer who just loves the color.

I don't care for that toning at all.

    Already at $56..
That is the really questionable part.

At least the seller was honest and kept it in the QC slab.
