First pictures with new copy stand...

These were taken with indirect LED lighting on an iPhone SE (2020 model)
I made no adjustments other than cropping:

Very nice pictures... These phone cameras are really good now....Cheers, RickO
Thanks for sharing ... I just broke down and ordered a simple copy stand to use for my smartphone. I had not tried using my phone and I just ran a couple of samples ...they came out nice.

Very nice! Anyone have recommendations as to what kind of stand to get, and where to get them. I want a good, stable one.

Thanks for posting the photo. You may have told us in a prior thread but could you identify the name for Amazon search purposes?
Looks like a nice piece of equipment.
While at it did you come across any options that would by an attachment allow mounting of an iPhone Max on an already owned copy stand?

I'm impressed. I really never thought the quality of phone pics would ever get this good.

Great pictures. Do you have a picture of your setup with the lighting?
Looks a lot different than mine. I gotta say you pics are pretty good.

just a reminder to people to either delete the exif data for the images and/or use a screenshot program or another method to get the image w/o forwarding the metadata to the image(s). not as difficult as it sounds.
oops, i thought i already commented on your pics. nice job!
Got my stand tonight and tomorrow I will start experimenting. Already love it. Set it up and have leveled it off by force of habit ( Aerospace Engineering career compels me to do this). Will experiment and show you my results.

What do you think?
I am very pleased.

Is that an ACME anvil and is it Wally E Coyote approved?

It looks very nice. Maybe needs more indirect light in addition to the Ottlights to make the coin brighter without making too much glare, assuming the Ott lights are LED.

I like how he nonchalantly leaves the pistol in the picture so if any of us here have any wild ideas, forget about it.
a great start. my favorite part is you are simply trying. more than i can say for some people i've worked with for years.
your presentation is pretty good.
it is ALL about trying variations at this point to find your sweet spot(s). i HIGHLY recommend looking at the camera screen while moving the lights around a bit (slowly) without even shooting any images. you will get a feel for the placement of the lights based on the height and image quality capabilities of your camera. you can also check its settings to help with image quality.
you can also use the mult-shoot options or download a camera app that has that feature and you just move your lights around, let it shoot 1 or more images, move lights, let it shoot etc.
either way, HAVE FUN and more fun than i did learning my d90. took me months of agonizing before i got it but once i did, i couldn't believe how simple it is.
i've told people i looked like an air traffic controller moving my lights around looking for the zone.

I need to position the lights in a better position which will take some experimenting.

Very nice for a first shot. I need to see about getting on of the stands for my phone.
Way better than handheld or stacking books and balancing my phone.
Thanks for sharing!
Sugar magnolia blossoms blooming, heads all empty and I don't care ...
Then there’s my $10 Walmart special. Works pretty good only problem is once I really practiced I do everything free hand iPhone 7+🤠
