How to determine If a dealer is reputable

Hey folks,
I am interested in putting together a set of Walking liberty Half dollars in MS65 and 66. I've found a few websites (trying to not use Ebay) that I found using a master list of sellers I found on Cointalk, The list was made 5 or 6 years ago and I don't know where an updated list can be found or if this one is still accurate. I also don't know if I can ask specifics about websites here. Anyway any advice is welcome.
Thanks hope everyone is safe.,

Usually you can search for the dealer’s name on this forum for lots of reviews. There are MANY good places to buy and many good dealers here who participate on the forums. But if you’re looking for a few suggested places:
- Great Collections
- David Lawrence Rare Coins
- Heritage Numismatics
- Stacks Bowers
- Northeast Numismatics
- Coin Rarities Online
- Northern Nevada Coin
- Many more plus the Buy, Sell, Trade forum on this site can be a good source

The auction houses will sometimes have inventory buys as well so you don’t always have to bid. Glad to help, though.

I also building a set of MS Walkers. I have beem getting them from DLRC and Coast to Coast coin.
I like Coast to Coast beacuse you can choose the TPG, the grade and year/mint and just swipe through their inventory until you find the coin you want. They are all priced the same.1

Hey thanks! David Lawrence I have bought from before and have been satisfied. I'm trying to stay away from a lot of the auction houses as I feel out of my depth when bidding. Really what I'm hoping is to find one or 2 good dealers with some quality coins . I had tried to search a lot of sellers yesterday and got wildly different results than I did today on this forum. Thanks for you reply. Ill look through these!
Input a dealer into the search box in this forum and you'll get a feel for certain dealers. Also, there are several Walker series collectors here who I'm sure would be good to receive a PM from you asking advice.
Welcome to the forum!
The dealers that turtleCat listed are all very good. Other members will be sure to offer more to select from.
You can go onto Collectors.com and exclude eBay which shows you coins on dealer sites you would have never searched.
Collectors Corner is also good as you can also click on for sale instead of auction.
Hey everyone! thanks so much for the replies!
David Kahn actually came up in my list of dealers to check out, saw a few nice walkers that they have. Good to know I can buy there. 3 others I was looking at were DM rare coins, Harbor coins, and Central jersey Rare coins. Off to the search engine!!
Thanks! I really want to find a nice community to ask advice, post pictures maybe find others that are more well versed that myself as I am still relatively green.
I appreciate the warm welcome immensely!>

Thanks! Having anyone who could weigh in on coins would be very cool. I'm really learning not all MS65 or 66 coins are equal haha.
Welcome @bagofnickels
Some good suggestions so far, and this is a great place to get more information and some solid opinions
