CU, our PRAYERS have been answered . . . !

Folks, we have a Patron Saint, and I'll bet most (like myself), probably didn't even know it!
.
.
Perusing fleaBay last night (no alcohol this time) I ran across the answer to our prayers. Little did I know that St. Eligius was quietly working in the background on my behalf, getting me outbid on snipes I really didn't need (or could afford) and helping me secure the amazing pieces that I have been fortunate enough to share with y'all.
Anyway, when I saw this little token, I knew that I just had to have it and make our Patron Saint a prominent part of my hoard, accumulation collection.
.
.
.
.
The obverse features St. Eligius working for a medieval TPG evaluating and grading an ancient coin. The reverse features his title as "Patronus Numismae," the years of his birth and death, and an image of possibly the coin he was grading?
Images of the Saint in action, a coin within a coin, even a nice copper, chocolate brown, octagon planchet. What's not to like?
This strike was listed by the seller as "vintage," but I'm not so sure. As usual, I bought before I researched, but hey, St. Eligius is watching out for me, right?
Just in case you think I'm having the delirium tremens (DT's) again, here is definitive documentation from Wikileaks, I mean Wikipedia . . . .
.
.
.
Well, I've got to go prepare a shrine and select an appropriate self slab reliquary for ole St. E before he arrives. Gotta start my prayers and supplications for locating that Louis-Oscar Roty medal I am on the lookout for too.
Watch out fleaBay'ers. I've got a "higher power" on my side now.

There are patron saints for most pursuits/avocations/groups. Did you know that St. Nicholas (Yes, the same one associated with Christmas) is the patron saint of prostitutes? There is your little known factoid for the day. Cheers, RickO
Who'd a thunk we're under the caring gaze of an ethereal force. Saint Eligius and my crazy 8 ball makes me feel special. Peace Roy

Good ole St Eligius. Remember the TV show Saint Elsewhere? Good show
His feast day is December 1

Well they do spread cheer, among other things. 😂
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
Well, olde St. E. arrived today . . . . . .
I didn't pay attention to his diameter when I purchased. I figured it was about the size of a quarter, 27mm or smaller. Turns out, Saint is 40mm across the flats, and 43.5mm across the points. Quite a bit heftier than anticipated as well , tipping the scales at a beefy 28.5 grams.
I have picked a suitable self-slab reliquary for him. All I need to do now is design and print a label . . . . .
