1834 $2.50 Classic incorrectly certified as 1834 $2.50 Capped

Just came across this on eBay. Unless I'm missing something, it looks like an 1834 $2.50 Classic was incorrectly certified as an 1834 $2.50 Capped. At first I thought it may have been a counterfeit slab, but the image matches the one on NGC's site.

Yes, it is a Classic Head, not a Capped Bust. Worth considerably less unfortunately.

No cap on that bust. Huge screw-up. Worth maybe $900?
Of course it will be called a "mechanical error" (or whatever term NGC uses for a bonehead mistake).
Seller must know better.
Lance.
I've messaged the seller, but I haven't received a response yet.
Listing is gone now.... Either ebay or seller pulled it.... Cheers, RickO
It looks like NGC has updated the description on their site as well.
You could drive a military sized hummer between the prices for those two coins. It’s a three figure price versus a five figure price.
