Tell them you’ll pay double if PCGS agrees and slabs it as a 66

About 10 years ago; I saw a guy at a major show trying to sell a raw 1917 S reverse Walker for $5000 and it had wear. He claimed it was mint state 64 but it looked no better than a circulated 50 or 55. I was so incensed that I told him what I thought of it and he didn’t like it. Too bad. Be careful out there, kids.....

If that's a 66, my collection just tripled in value.

Does the right side of the 2x2 say it's the "... only one left"?

Not sure to be honest, funny thing, within 5 minutes of shooting the picture and posting this thread, I sold it over the counter, in that very holder, for $25 to a walk-in that needed a cheap Peace dollar. :D

If it were a different, much better coin it would easily be a 66.

It might not be Mint State.

Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
