whoever and whenever another one gets organized, whatever grote takes, ill take too. and whenever each days allocation time deadline is up, keep adding me until it's filled.
once it's closed, just nudge me to send my payments. if allowed, this can be a standing reservation. thank you and til then! 😉
BBCE is low on inventory now. I think they are holding stuff back for the upcoming National.
If only there was something to buy.
agree with jfkheat and rcmb3220. I'm always in for a break, but I'm not super interested in any of the 3 products steve still has in inventory, lol. It's insane. The only 80's products on the site for baseball are 87 fleer wax pack, 88 topps racks and 89 score traded.

There has been a flash sale the past 3 fridays...hopefully tomorrow follows suit
It's getting down to ALF - let's do it!!!
This is absolutely unprecedented. Thursday’s are always my day to check in and see if there’s anything that piques my interest. The number of 80’s products had always been above 70ish until a couple weeks ago. My jaw absolutely hit the floor when I saw 3!
Nor familiar with any of those Products......But I can do the Hammered Part!!!
Thanks

If BBCE is low on inventory, then why don't we have a board member contact Gary or Sheila for some unopened.
Heard from Steve we will be seeing some new product in 1-2 weeks. They have made some significant purchases.
What price point do you think Steve would put on these if they ever show up at BBCE again?

That’s probably a Tim question but maybe $4-500? They seem to be much harder to come by compared to 78 and 79.
what's your paypal?
post pics please...
I’d guess 6500 for the 80 wax
you guys do realize non-fasc boxes have been getting $12K+ lately.
with trays being quazi-fasc even without the designation vs a random loose pack, let's do some math:
3 packs per tray
divided by:
36 packs per box
equals 12.
$12000 / 12 = $1000.
and this at frankenstein pricing
personally, i would pay a slight premium for a tray considering what was mentioned above.
but that's just me!
Man!1
What do yall think a 1975 Regular Baseball wax tray would be now?
Nah I think it's much higher than that right now.

Guess I need to post some photos of tray packs tonight on here. Setting up at a local show tomorrow - first time in a zillion years. Should be fun with Keith Jr. Everyone will have modern football and hoops - think i will bust out a display case of 50’s PSA stuff to confuse them 🤣
OK I was obviously way off on the value of my stuff. I just bought a single pack from Steve a few weeks ago for $85.
The one pictured was the last one that Steve had in stock. Not sure when that was but it wasn’t too long ago. $200? $225?
Good question but if recent wax box hammer prices are any indication, it will be $1,000+.
Some of you guys may remember years ago Justin (Justin's Shoebox) was selling 1980 wax racks and 1979 wax trays from Frank's in CA. I kept this one from back then, one of my favorite items in my PC.

I would say 5K+
I have two of those..sold another one years ago (regrettably).

If 1980 is a $1000 tray what does that make 1978 and 1979 understanding that neither has a Henderson rookie.
What does the 1980 wax rack go for?
Is it in same range as a tray?
79s right now are about $350 or so. I would put 78s at about $650+.

It's really hard to say because this pricing is brand new and working off recent wax box sales.
I have a 1980 cello box I am planning to list for sale. A month ago, I'd say 4K. Now, I'm guessing 10K (though I would sell it for less). It's really hard to keep track these days.

I'd probably sell one of these 2 for 2K.

Just curious Tim and I put you at the top of the experts here.
Why would a wax tray vs wax rack differential depend upon 1980 box price?
With wax trays, you are essentially getting packs FASC, so if a 1980 wax box is currently selling for 10K+ or about $280 a pack, I would put the value of the packs in the tray at $300+ each, as those may also have stars showing on back whereas a generic BBCE wrapped 1980 wax has very possibly been cherrypicked.
I pulled this pack from a torn 1980 wax tray years ago.

IMO 1978 Topps easily eclipses 1980 Topps and 1979 Topps for that matter when it comes to the RC equation. The Henderson is a WHALE for sure but the only other notable RC out of the set is Rick Sutcliffe. Am I wrong?
1978 Topps RC
Eddie Murray - HOF
Paul Molitor / Alan Trammell - DUAL HOF'er RC
Jack Morris HOF
Lou Whitaker
Lance Parrish
1979 Topps has the gigantic Ozzie RC and then guys like Carney Lansford, Pedro Guerrero, and Rick Honeycutt.
I honestly don't see a comparison. It's quite possible that the '78 set will one day have SIX HOF Rookies in it. But, of course, this has nothing to do with the pricing we are seeing right now. Strange hobby we have
