That looks very nice and original, and Welcome to the forum.
Sweet

👍 I bet it looks even better in hand.
Sweet! and salutations.
Great addition, but now that you've teased us, where is the rest?

Glad to see you posting RCA. I’m happy you finally pulled the trigger on her. Your set has really made tremendous progress the last few months. Keep buying ones that look like your 50 $ and your set will be amazing when completed.
Thanks for sharing
Here a few others for you to enjoy.
Fill out a set all like that and you’ll have a generational treasure

Nice coins!

Liberty Seated Dollars, one of my all-time favorite coins. Very nice examples, and original!
Excellent seated dollar! A quality seated dollar set is so hard to put together. Keep up the good work!
Wow. Keep at it! Very nice. Welcome.
Have to share a couple more.
Welcome! Nice, original-looking coins.
pretty coin
I had two in my first Dansco, but long gone now.
Thanks for sharing.

Wow, you have a great collection there! I really love the seated dollar in the OP!
Welcome to the forum.
Those are exceptional coins. You clearly have a discerning approach.
Beautiful 1850. Your others are quite nice as well. Seated dollars are a great series to collect as they are such handsome coins.
My initial approach was whatever I could afford in the 40-45 range. Then I bought a few 50's - also a few 35's on the other end.
Then the 49 came along in 53/CAC. That meant upgrading to CAC whenever possible.
So it's ongoing - and the thril of the hunt !!!
Very impressive.
Problem with XFs is you end up with a couple AU for the ole set. Then after a while you start looking for AUs when they inevitably out shine your XFs. Eventually you will end up with an UNC which will put your AUs to shame. And then all of a sudden your wife starts asking inconvenient questions about the second and third mortgage on the home

Really like them all RCA... You should definitely send your non CAC SLDs to New Jersey to see if they can earn a sticker. That 45 $ definitely has a shot.
Welcome to the Forum RCA ... lovely examples, all of them ... but opening with that 1850 is a tough act to follow. That coin looks magnificent!

LOL! When I started my Barber Half set I was going to just do a set in F12. That morphed on up to AU58+!
@RCA_Collection... Welcome aboard.... Very nice Seated Dollars ... and your new addition as well. They make a very nice set....I have not tried that series. Cheers, RickO
I think I purchased this one from you recently. Happy to have it in my collection.
My PCGS Set Registry Profile
Such a tough set. The 1850's are stoppers in the set in quality. There isn't one of 1850's that are easy to find. The civil war dates are coveted by type collectors that make them difficult also. The challenge is part of the thrill however and makes the chase worth it. Have been collecting seated dollars for years and it is quite the journey! Good luck RCA.
I hear the branch mint coins can be a challenge too
I have seen only one complete collection in person (a former poster here) but our very on TDN had much of his former set online for years and he (to my knowledge) is the only person to ever complete the series all in UNC. Think about that for a sec
His old website is no longer with us but his registry is here

TDN set is unbelievable. Best ever assembled by a long way. My work on my set has a way to go yet.

It's nice to see her again - Thanks!
This is her replacement.

RCA - Definitely keep this thread going as you continue to make progress. I like what you have shared so far and look forward to more in the future.
OK Crusty. Will do.
Meet the new addition !
57$ is missing in a lot of collections. Expensive and rare when found decent. Congrats on adding such a tough date. Your starting to get closer to the end now. If you decide to complete the set it will get real expensive very soon.
That is a very nice 1871. Usually don't see them come that dark and original. Nice addition.
RCA
Welcome to the boards and congratulation on the new purchases.

About 15 years ago my mom told me a friend of hers gave her this. Unfortunately I had to tell her it wasn't real.
I didn’t realize you were on the forum here. Let me know if you ever get that 71cc $ in hand....
That reverse shield on the 46 is a dead give away. To bad it wasn’t real.
Great dollars, RCA! I am especially fond of the 1871. It's gorgeous. Welcome to the forums! Enjoy!
