Interesting die crack on 2020 Rockefeller quarter

Hard for me to get a good pic with the glare but there is a die crack connecting the bottoms of the 2's in the date. I know not worth anything but it is pretty easy to see and would be even me more interesting if a later state underlines the whole date.

Your photo makes it look incuse rather than raised, this would indicate PMD. ;)
You have the coin in hand and it is hard to say from the photo.

  • Definitely a raised die crack, not incuse like the date. It does seem an odd place for a die crack although I have seen plenty of minor cracks on the eagle type Washington quarters around the date. Those are often from the bottom of the bust towards the date and usually curved. This one is oddly straight.

Looks like a die gouge to me and not a die crack.

Does the crack continue to the rim from the 2 on the left?

Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.

Not that I can tell. I see my photo above seems to show something at the lower left point of the first 2 but no apparent crack. It looks like it goes from the first 2 to the second 2 in an almost straight line.

    I'm wondering if it's a die gouge.
