Kinda looks like His face is melting.
The coin needs more detailing.

Looks like he got punched in the jaw.

This is really unfortunate on so many levels... where to start and end with a limitation of 30 words or less
I will start...
train wreck
Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

Even his tie is crooked
So tired of US coins with presidents on them. This coin certainly substantiates my claim.

There are some medallic renditions of our 16th President out there, both old and new, that are horrendous. Compared to those, that prez buck isn’t too bad.
On the contrary, there are some magnificent medallic renditions as well....

Many of the portraits on the Presidential dollar coins are rather poorly done. I think the Lincoln coin is illustrative of the average quality. Have you seen Reagan? JFK?
Who are you calling cheap?
The puck size is now $160.
If you think that this is Lincoln, this one is pretty bad. The Fuld's seemed to think that it was and listed it with the Patriotic Lincoln Civil War token numbers. Many CWT collectors say it's just "an old man with a beard."
My take on the presidential dollar Lincoln is that it looks like something from the book, "Lincoln the Vampire Slayer."
I am sure the artist's rendition in charcoal on paper was much better.
This is what happens when Congress mandates a plethora of coin designs and programs.

It is a hard portrait to render in low relief.
Possibly the mint should have managed our expectations by naming the series the "Presidential Cartoon Dollars."
.
The prezzie bucks are, in general, pretty bad when it comes to the portraits. This one joins the group....Cheers, RickO

The actual coin is disappointing but not nearly as bad as this image.
I 'd fire the engraver and designer.
It looks like it got run over by a Lincoln...
I remember years back, you could buy a box of 500 of these Lincoln dollars at the US Mint web site for face value, including shipping.

Why not?
Some of them are really really bad.
....most of them....
The Reagan is ludicrous.
I agree with the comments regarding Nixon's portrayal as well.
The Wm. Henry Harrison dollar looks like Pete Townshend.
Grant resembles a monkey.
I suppose a relevant question would be: Are there any Prezzie dollar coins that aren't cartoonish?
I have a few in mind but not many.
Compared to what I've seen of his actual countenance, it's quite flattering. He was not exactly a handsome man.

Then "S" was also his initial. It stood for "S".
Middle name: S
Middle Initial: S.

It is interesting that no one caught the error regarding the "S" middle name. Just think of how many people had a chance to review this before it was approved.
I'm in the whatever category on this one. Yes I did learn something today
Frankly JFK was not a car guy. He really has that "damn, that model sure has a nice rear bumper on her" look.
I feel like she has already designed a few US coins.
Truman is one of the better likenesses in the series.
Hoover's isn't bad, either, and Wilson's is okay.
Yes, an incredible deal until people (mainly non-collectors) abused it.
You got a choice of a few different designs, could order up to a couple thousand or so, and got them delivered to your door at face value.
The "deal" turned into a "scam" when the public at large found out about it and some enterprising people (to put it nicely) would order thousands of dollars worth to get the credit card points and then take the unopened rolls (in some cases unopened boxes - the lazy jerks) straight to the bank to deposit so they could pay off their credit card bill. Banks complained and the mint shut the program down.
