1851 Gold $1 - real or fake?

I read a thread somewhere about counterfeit $1 gold coins, and thought I'd ask for opinions about this one that I bought uncertified from ebay a few years back. I took pics with different angles and light, trying to show as much detail as I could.

The coin has a reeded edge, and weighs 1.654 grams.

What do you all think?!

    Looks like a genuine AU 1851 1 dollar gold to me.

    MS66 taste on an MS63 budget.

    It looks like a real EF-45 to me.

    Here is a certified example from my collection.


    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.
