will someone please warn me the next time i park money on a team that allows a receiver to get behind the last line of defense with 8 seconds left in the half and a coach who kicks a field goal down 8 with a little over 2 mins remaining
thank would really be helpful
thank goodness for halftime lines to hedge that ugliness
I really have to question if Aaron Rodgers' really has what it takes. Those last two offensive plays for the Packers today.....Rodgers had clear room to tuck the ball and run; and likely get the touchdown. Instead, he tried in both instances, to force the ball into tight coverage; coming away with nothing. Then on 4th down, they kick the field goal? Giving the ball to Brady with 2:05 left in the game? That's suicidal! Yes, that one is on Matt LaFleur, but you have to wonder if there was doubt in his mind about Rodgers' ability. He obviously didn't like their chances on 4th down, for whatever reason.
I just really don't see that Rodgers has "It".....just the internal killer instinct and the "overdrive" gear that you need when the chips are down, and you need a miracle.

happy for Brady, but Tampa's D won that game
I’m with you on that. 3 interceptions in the 2nd half and Green Bay did nothing. Poorly coached and poorly executed for a championship game. Green Bay did everything to lose and did.

The Bucs force turnovers and almost always turn them in to points. The Packers went 3 and out off of two Brady picks. Inexcusable. Rodgers does not rise to the occasion the majority of times.
Correct me if I am wrong, but if Rodgers is MVP, this is the 7tth time a Tom Brady team has beaten the season MVP in the playoffs.

Buffalo showed how not to lose badly at the end of the quarter. It was not an aggressive play that is not playing to win. They played into the Chiefs hands.
Green Bay did the same thing at the end of their game. They got a field goal which did them no good.

Brady was the GOAT in the first half. He was “the goat” in the second half. The “goat” term has had two meanings between the decades.
Brady’s problem in his “old age” is that he overthrows when he misses, which has cost him all season.

@2dueces great season by the Bills. not a single thing to be ashamed about. Allen gave a valiant effort, but ultimately he just doesn't have the weapons that Mahomes does. give him a legit RB and #2 receiver and he'll be in business.
the Bills are a fun team to watch, lots to like moving forward
I’m pissed the Bills lost, I really thought they were the best team this post season. I am happy about Brady and will be rooting for him. Sorry about the tough loss @2dueces
Tough start to that game, again had to go take my blood pressure medicine
and take long, deep breaths after the 0-9 Bills lead.
Things clicked after that, the Chiefs stopped making mistakes and played the way they can when
hitting on all cylinders. Mahomes is the best, they wouldn't have marched down the field on the
Bills like they did with anyone else at QB.
Now to knock Brady's SB record down a notch to 6-4.
Congrats to 2deuces on the Bills having such a great season. They will be serious contenders for years to come.
Interesting that the Super Bowl is being played in Tampa Bay.
As soon as today's second game ended, i didn't think about it too much, i figured the line would be around -5 for KC. Betting lines really aren't that hard to do if ya know both teams relatively well. And i'd say most football fans know the Bucs and the Chiefs at least relatively well.
I saw the line and it surprised me a little bit that TB was only a 3 to 3 1/2 point dog. But perhaps the bookies are treating this as a home game for the Bucs, in which bookies in the point spread, normally give three points to the home team.
No shame in losing to the Chiefs. They made this game look easy. KC is far and away the best team in the NFL. They are better this year then last. TB will have to play bully ball on both sides of the ball to make the SB game interesting. They are pretty physical. Even saying that it might be a tall task to stay with the Chiefs. I was a little surprised how KC pushed the Bills around.
Frank Clark, Jones and Sneed were great tonight as well as the entire O line. Kelce is the best that ever played the position and Hill is unreal. I haven't even got to Mahomes yet. Lights out the best QB at the moment.
This KC team is one of the best teams I've seen in awhile. I hope Eric Fisher is ok. Didn't look good. He's a great left tackle.
Congrats on the win today Darin.

anyone see the vid replay from behind the Packers on that 3rd down right before the inexplicable field goal? Rodgers scrambled out of the pocket and had nothing but green grass in front of him. if he makes a beeline to the corner pylon the Packers are a 2-pt conversion away from tying the game. easy, easy touchdown. instead, he tried to force the ball to Davante in between two defenders. next play, his head coach kicked a FG thinking it was worth 8 points.
and i won't even get started on Kevin King, who played one of the worst games at corner that i've seen in a while. just off the top of my head i know he got burned on the first touchdown to Mike Evans, got burned on the final play of the half when he allowed Scotty Miller to get behind him, and he was the one who tried to take Tyler Johnson's clothes off, got flagged, and ended the game with the PI call.
the only thing dumber than the way the Packers collectively played yesterday is me, a guy who initially bet on them
I came to the conclusion many years ago that trying to make money betting on football games is like trying to shoot par on a golf course with a thousand sand traps.

The end of the NFC game was bizarre. GB kept shooting themselves in the foot over and over. Then surprisingly, Brady was in some crap zone of giving GB every single opportunity to win the game. Brady is very very very fortunate the D got some key sacks or he would have truly been to blame/goat. I've never watched Brady end a game like that. I was in shock. I actually think Brady/Evans were feeling some pressure towards the end of that game. Rodgers was not on his A game either. The coaching decision of kicking the FG....was game over. Tom had escaped. I think it's possible that KC just rolls in the Super Bowl. Their offense has incredible speed and ability to score in bunches. Should be entertaining.
