I got this not long ago for $25 and rather like it, not perfect but good honest wear IMO with a bit of a worn scratch above head:
Love that Milled British (1830-1960)
Well, just Love coins, period.

Isn’t it curious how the mint mark is off center? Had to be a conscious design decision.
At the time, they were still adding them to the dies so they should have moved around and not been design driven.
Nice, wholesome coin.
I like them that way.
Good looking circulated cent.
This doesn’t change my opinion of it, but for my learning...would the old worn scratch earn it a details grade?
It's not for me jmo
It’s for me jmo (beautiful crust a hallmark of originality) ** **
Nice old IHC... Always liked these, and it was a thrill to get one in change when I was a young paperboy... Cheers, RickO
does anyone have an image that shows a mm THAT far off to the right? i don't recall ever seeing one.

The first "big coin" I ever owned was a 1908-S Indian Cent. It was graded VG-Fine and was priced at $35. This was circa 1963. The coin was just a little stronger than then the piece in the OP.
As time goes by that scratch is going to look more and more like the Grand Canyon. Not a coin for me.
Perfect coin for an album. If I was doing an Indian Head set collection, I would take it in a heart beat.
here is my evidence. iirc this only comes with 2 known reverse mm positions.
any refuters?

Not a big IHC fan as I'm a Lincoholic, but I do have a small collection. I would really like to get the 1909S some day as I have all of the 09 Lincoln's and would like to have the complete year.
For me, you need to be able to see even if limited, the full Liberty in the headband of the IHC, but nice coin... Thanks for sharing
I agree with that as well, but the price was hard to beat.

...probably pulled from circulation and put in an album prewar.
