I am going to attempt to keep track of the moves that will be happening within the NFL for the next for few months or so. I will track hirings and firings of both players and coaches. I need a project to work on, or I'll go insane!

This one certainly is interesting, Dwayne Haskins is going to be meeting with my cats. Evidently, the cats aren't sold on Teddy Bridgewater. I know the Panthers head coach Matt Rhule likes trying to develop players, so it doesn't surprise me too much.

Here's one more interesting move for you, the Dallas Cowboys are favoring ex- Falcons head coach Dan Quinn to be their new defensive coordinator.

Pederson out at Philly. Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out
Jets?

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Yep.

This is going to look weird.
Oh my goodness, according to reports Doug Pederson said he's "sick of people telling him what to do".

Pederson deserved to be fired.
https://nypost.com/2021/01/11/allen-robinson-sounds-done-with-bears-in-potential-giants-jets-intrigue/amp/ Huge for any team looking for a playmaker WR.... Patriots? Nah too much money probably
He's confirmed as new Cowboys DC.
We definitely need playmakers.
We will get Will Robinson from Lost in Space. Slot receiver

Sounds about right!
This firing comes as a surprise but certainly no shock. I've stated this a number of times on here that i noticed a decline in Pederson's coaching ability the season after the Super Bowl. The decline continued to be precipitous.
Jeff Lurie of course saw what i saw, and according to the article, Pederson's silly remark displayed the decline behind the scenes as well.
I've employed many people over the years, and the kiss of death for any employee is one who both doesn't listen and is performing poorly. If they're not going to listen, they'd better be doing a good job, and if they're performing poorly then they'd better listen and work to improve.
With Pederson's both not doing a good job and not willing to listen, the Eagles owner had no choice but to fire him. The Super Bowl was great, but that seems like a long time ago now.
I'll work hard for you steve, I promise. Please don't fire me, I've got wife and a goldfish to feed!
As a person who's been an employee a lot over the years, what the hell did Steve say?
Shaddap and listen, and do your job.
Wives are cheap to feed, but that goldfish food can get expensive. LOL
there were rumblings prior to the season with Allen Robinson. he wants to leave Chicago and frankly i don't blame him. i don't miss a lot of Bears who leave, but i will definitely miss him when that day comes. he's legit special. you watch him play and think to yourself, "now there is a professional wide receiver." not a blazer, but a precise route runner with very sick hands. entering his prime @ 27. will provide an instant upgrade at WR for his next team.
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet

Peterson was quirky and unpredictable. It worked during the championship season but fell flat this year. It really was time for a change.
The Eagles have player salary problems with Wentz locked into a big deal and not productive. Some might say that a new coach might rejuvenate him, but I doubt it. Star quarterbacks need to be good passers, reasonably mobile and durable. Wentz has problems with all three phases of the position.
<<< Peterson was quirky and unpredictable. >>>
Must have been that way behind the scenes as well.
A quirky and unpredictable head coach becomes intolerable when they're losing football games with no end in sight.
Eagles fans will just have to hope that Wentz rebounds. He is still young enough for that to at least remain a possibility.
The Eagles have asked to interview 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh for the head coaching job to replace the recently fired and disgraced Doug Pederson.

I wouldn’t work there for 10 million.
Chip Kelly. Winning record. One bad year. Fired
Andy Reed. Winning record. One bad year. Fired
Doug Pederson. Winning record. Super Bowl winner. Statue out front. One bad year. Fired
Sounds like job security to me. Lmao
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
I must say, Deshaun Watson really looks concerned about his future with the Texans!
Yea, but we all know that head coaches are hired to be fired, just a question of when.
Close family him hanging out with his sister.

Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer has been fired. The Seahawks cited the reason for the firing as "philosophical differences."

I can't turn my back for one second, things happen so fast. The Jets will be meeting with 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh today. This will be their second meeting, and it looks like he might be the new head coach of the New York Jets.

I'm just sitting here munching on some Planter peanuts, oh and by the way, it's official, ex-Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is now the new defensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys.

Well sort of a musical chair..... Bill O' Brien to Alabama as OC

The Chicago Bears announced that head coach Matt Nagy and GM Ryan Pace will both return with the Bears next season. The Bears defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano has announced he is going to retire.

I like this hire for the Lions. The Rams haven't had a first round pick the last 3 years yet they have 13 drafted starters on their team
The Detroit Lions have a new general manager: Los Angeles Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes.
The Lions reached agreement on a five-year contract with Holmes after interviewing him for a second time Wednesday, a source told the Free Press on Thursday. The Lions announced the hiring later Thursday afternoon.
"I am thrilled to welcome Brad Holmes to Detroit," Lions owner Sheila Ford Hamp said in a statement. "Several weeks ago when we embarked on this process, it was critical that we find the right person to fit our vision for this team. It was evident early on that Brad is a proven leader who is ready for this opportunity. We are thrilled to introduce him to our fans as a member of our football family.”
Holmes, the nephew of former Lions' first-round pick Luther Bradley, spent his entire NFL career with the Rams. He started with the organization as a public relations intern in 2003, joined the scouting department as an intern months later and worked his way into position to run the team's past eight drafts.

It would be great if they could get moving in a positive direction again.
Didn't the Lions also bring in Chris Spielman as a special assistant to the owner? He is a no-nonsense type guy. He'll start breakin' heads if he has to!
No one in the Lions organization would dare get out of line with Chris Spielman watching, he'll start crackin' heads up in that mug!
he better not reveal the Rams upcoming draft picks to the Lions.
Wow, the Pittsburgh Steelers are cleaning house. They just canned OC Randy Fichtner, OL coach Shaun Sarrett, and DC coach Tom Bradley.

Perfect. Just what Sam Darnold needs is another defensive genius. SMH

Interesting, I see that steve's Eagles have put in a request to interview Dallas Cowboys OC Kellen Moore for their head coaching job. I wonder how steve feels about his natural sworn enemy joining his team? 🤔

Once a player or coach becomes an Eagle, all is forgiven.
I just wish dimeman was here to see this! 😂😂
Other than say a murderer, woman abuser or child molester...if anyone can carry a football and gain 1,500 yards a season for the Eagles, then i say sign him.
😂😂😂😂
Although if the prospective player says that all he collects is dimes, i may have to put him on the exclusion list.
He's here
Lurking
Ravens and Patriots felt the same way although they both had one on their roster for some time.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
Oh yes, dimeman is watching us all, especially steve. He knows when steve is talking smack about the Cowboys, and he's making note of it!
Sadly, there is probably at least one player on every team who is a woman abuser. I hope not but probably so.
Sadly, you're likely right.
I have a below zero tolerance level for women abusers. And I'm sure everyone here feels the same way.
Coin and card collectors are a good breed of person. 👍
