Once a player or coach becomes an Eagle, all is forgiven.
I just wish dimeman was here to see this! 😂😂
He's here
Lurking
Oh yes, dimeman is watching us all, especially steve. He knows when steve is talking smack about the Cowboys, and he's making note of it!
Maybe Dimeman will return one day when we least expect it.
If he changed his collecting to nickels or quarters he could come back undercover as nickelman or quarterman and rejoin the group.
I used to collect Morgan Silver dollars and loved them because of their size.
I could never understand why people collected dimes, they are just so small I just couldn't see the appeal.
Now gold coins that are the size of a dime I can see the appeal.

Dime collecting is one reason they make magnifying glasses.

Other than say a murderer, woman abuser or child molester...if anyone can carry a football and gain 1,500 yards a season for the Eagles, then i say sign him.
Ravens and Patriots felt the same way although they both had one on their roster for some time.
Sadly, there is probably at least one player on every team who is a woman abuser. I hope not but probably so.
Sadly, you're likely right.
I have a below zero tolerance level for women abusers. And I'm sure everyone here feels the same way.
Coin and card collectors are a good breed of person. 👍
I was talking murderer or accused murderer. I forgot to add the Panthers to that dubious list.

No one else asked to interview Dan Campbell. So either the Lions are suddenly savants in hiring undiscovered talent or the Lions will be replacing him as well in 3 years. My guess is the latter
He does seem to be enamored by biting knee caps so there is that

Awesome speech but words and tough talk don’t mean a thing. Detroit is so far away from putting together a solid team it’s laughable. They absolutely do not know how to draft or evaluate talent. Stafford is probably on the way out or at least should be. Their team is a mess.

And btw who the heck is this guy Dan Campbell anyways?
😂😂 I've never heard of him either, I had to look him up. Apparently, he was the Saints tight end coach this season. I think you're right, the Lions are a mess and he can talk tough all he wants, but he's in for a rude awakening next season.

He was the Saints TE coach and he played a couple years for the Lions so I guess he checked all of the Lions boxes. Both of them

Sounds like he is ready to rock. Someone on local radio here who knows him, as I was casually listening so don't quote me, called him a "dumbbells for breakfast" kind of guy. Anyway, Patricia was terrible. He tried to be tough but apparently did it all wrong.
it's nice to see everyone else in the NFL frantically jumping on the HC carousel, it's running out of seats quickly. with so many moving parts on a Team it's never a quick fix. owners and GM's are hard pressed to ignore the drone of the fans and media for things to be turned around in 1-2 years, but only allowing a new hire that much time to see a winning record and playoff appearance, what is apparently the gauge of success, is sort of unfair. making progress and a 3-5 year window is much more realistic.
In other Lions news Matthew Stafford and the Lions have agreed to part ways any Anthony Lynn is the new Lions OC. I can't make that least sentence up. I cracked two other ribs laughing when I read that

Eric Bienemy still not a head coach.
Of course I have mixed feelings. As a Chiefs fan he's done such a great job as offensive coordinator
(but Eric please tell Mahomes he's not a running back) that I want him to stay but he deserves a chance
as head coach and still hasn't gotten the opportunity. And he says he wants to be a head coach.
Isn't he a lot more qualified than the guy the Lions hired?
I've heard the Texans head coaching job is the only one left. Don't know if it would be wise for
Bienemy to go there with the complete mess that franchise is currently in.
believe it or not, i listened to this for the first time just now. i know this guy has been the butt of many jokes, but i actually like i what i just heard. a lot. often times in pro sports i end up asking myself, "does anyone truly care?" where is the fire? would someone throw or break something for crying loud?"
this fella may ultimately flame out as HC, but i don't think it's gonna be from a lack of giving a chit
Matthew Stafford will be a hot topic for the next 3 months. With 2 years left and $43M he’s very affordable at 31 years old compared to a Carson Wentz or Deshawn Watson. It would make perfect sense for the Colts. Exchange Stafford for Rivers and a few players and they win their division and may make a deep run into the playoffs. I personally would like to see him stay in the NFC. 😉

The following teams look to need QB's. Broncos, Colts, Panthers, Patriots, Saints and Washington. I think the Saints would be interesting. Pittsburgh and SF could be players as well

Without getting into social issues because that’s the bottom line reason what is behind the crying about Bienemy not being a HC and it’s a joke. Let’s be real here, anyone would be performing well with Mahomes as your QB, he was a RB Coach before so it’s not like he has tons of experience even as O Coordinator. I won’t argue that he is not less qualified as some other hires like the Lions coach but I highly doubt it’s a personal thing against Bienemy.

Having anything in your criminal record that suggests violence against a woman might be a reason that teams are not hiring him. Atleast that is what I have heard and read from people in sports media.
