My Coin BETTER PICS With issues on Reverse?
Issues?
I already soaked in acetone, won't remove?
Does anyone know what this can be? Thanks

I have looked for that for years and have come up empty. Congrats.
Thank you! What are those spots on the reverse? Carbon? Is the coin ruined?

Kennedys are my quest...
The coin is what it is, a nice find and great for an album but the reverse kills the value and would not be worth slabbing, well for most people anyway lol.

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
It isn’t ruined but they will lower the grade. You could try a quick acetone rinse to remove the debris around the roof causing the spotting but make it quick. Copper and acetone are not friends. Great find and good eye Joey !
Nice find. Just a thought but is there something this coin can be soaked in that might neutralize or slow down the corrosion? I'm thinking mineral oil or baking soda solution? No rubbing or picking at the corrosion but introduce something to come in contact with those areas. Peace Roy

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Nice find. Probably not a lot that can be done regarding the reverse spotting... the coin is what it is. So it isn't a 'gem' in grading... but it is an awesome find.
Nice find @JoeyCoins
@joeykoins I have not used either chemical before. Both have been discussed on CU, pros and cons. I wouldn't want to alter the obv if at all possible. Peace Roy

I might try letting it soak in mineral oil.
It looks like the surfaces have been pitted on the reverse, so not a lot can be done. But that is a fantastic find, Joey.
Perseverance pays off!

Good find.
I have found 2 of these and both had spotting issues.
If I were you, I would sell it before it got worse.

I'm not seeing it on the second one.
One out of two ain't bad.
No, the second coin is a normal cent.
