If I was the original owner of that coin when it was raw and bright and shiny I would think that it is terrific! But finding it in a slab with that toning would be a different story. I just don't know enough about that type of toning not to be suspicious of AT. I do like it though.

yours appears to have some type of liquid damage and dis-colorization
Does the NFC chip still work?
My guess is that is sticker residue on the back of the slab.
Love the coin!
Not having the holder in hand, it is
very possible to be glue, but to me the colors are faded even in areas that show no "glue" residue.
Look at the G in PCGS, it is very faded. Notice that the brown coloring covers the entire rear of the slab holder and not just in the hologram area.
Also notice the scratch into the reflective tape and the edges on the same. To me they are on the inside of the holder.
Lets hope our op removes the glue and shows us a new picture.
Have a Nice Day

I prefer to focus on the coin and it looks gorgeous to me.

I think it is as beautiful a Kennedy as I have ever seen. Such eveness of tone from obverse to reverse is not readily available, that I have been witness to. I would not be offended by the scrap of fingerprint(if that is what it is). Congrats and thanks for sharing.

I wonder what the coin looks like with standard lighting not tilted as in the op.
Not sure what you're looking for since any coin with a proof or proof-like surface and toning is going to look very different depending how the light is angled on the coin. I've uploaded a video I hope that helps.

Thanks for the video, was not getting at anything just curious. As you say lighting can change the look of proofs and toners so I was just wondering how it looked from a straight on shot as opposed to the angled shots in your op. Yours still shows a good bit of color which is not always the case.
great video wish I could take a nice one like that
How about doing one of the reverse
Is the coin going to be up for sale someday in the future?
Thanks again

Had to ask my wife since I got it for her as a Christmas present since it's her birth year (shhhhh don't tell anyone that ;-) ) and I got an emphatic NO despite what might be a decent profit. I may send it in again for a re-holder and a tru-view tho.

Ha probably. But I still like it
I do not like the look of the hologram and its surrounding area
to me something is up
@lsica did you submit the coin to our host?

I removed a label from the holder so the look is probably just the remaining glue. And the NFC chip does still work

If it is from Chromaticcoins (on eBay) I'd be highly suspicious!

I think it's a beautiful coin. But if it's fro.m the half dozen or so coin doctors prevalent on ebay I'd be suspicious.
Thanks for the short video... the fingerprint is not nearly as obvious there.... Cheers, RickO
