Last good Bust of the year

Mmmmm ... I was hopeful ... now I am happy!

The last time I got a '31, it was a O-104, and I came up with this little ditty ...

So the mailman delivered today ... and I feel good
The mailman delivered, like I knew he would
It was just a little package, came safe and sound
Because the mailman delivered ... I feel good

Since nothing else is incoming as of today, I think this will be the last good Bust of the year!

As usual, if you want to guess the grade, tell me what you think (likes or don't likes), and share yours ... it's all good. There's a touch more blue and green than I picked up, especially on the reverse. I haven't implemented the tricks I think I observed recently from a friend. Hope you all have a wonderful, safe and Happy New Year!!

1831 O-110

I was going to say he needs to step his New Year’s Eve party game up but this year, I’ll take the coin.

Au55 choicely original with multiple layers of age but not too dark. The later dates lose some of the earlier charm by being produced so much better. If it absolutely glows under that skin 58 is very much in play.

@golden Haha!! Made you look though!! :D

@Crypto Yeah, stepping up my game in that respect might be a little risky this year!

@Cameonut Pretty sure that is indeed an O-107. Nice colors!

This is my opinion as well. I like it as a 55 but 58 wouldn't surprise me.

Another choice, original bustie. Congrats, Todd!

55...too much rub to make 58 IMO

Nothing is as expensive as free money.

    55.

My first and third thoughts were 55, but my second and fourth/last were 58, so I’ll go with that.

Am I the only one getting bored, seeing all of these exceptionally nice coins posted by Todd? How about some dreck for a change? 😉

    53? 55? I go with 53.

    Wow, that’s a beauty, Todd....Congrats!
It has an amazing strike, too, especially in the eagles feathers and talons, and the hair detail is also quite impressive.
Hard to tell the luster from the pics, but I’m guessing it’s all there, so I’m going with 58, and a beautiful AU58 at that!

You never cease to amaze me with the bust halves you are consistently adding to your set.

Good observation, Dave. This die marriage is often weak in the scroll and Liberty's drapes. It's stronger than most.

Thank you for all the comments!

As for the grade, I am probably a little predictable with these. She is, in fact, in a PCGS AU55 holder. I think it's a good spot for her. She has excellent underlying luster, a strong strike and clean surfaces. I was glad to find her like this, and glad I was able to work something out with the seller.
