got time [online] w my family

  • ShaunBC5ShaunBC5 Posts: 1,549 ✭✭✭✭✭

Got a sawzall and a battery/jump/air pump pack and a little money/permission for coins.
The kids had the biggest Christmas ever (and probably for awhile) because my wife found a deal we couldn’t pass up and things inflated from there.
Maybe a little more charity this year than usual, but it’s so hard to tell since the things we usually do weren’t able to happen. Less time, more money?

I’m told that I mentioned sometime this year that I haven’t received a gun for Christmas in 20 years. That one was a Remington 541 T w/ a Leopold variX scope. What says merry Christmas better this year than a 5.56?
Next year I think I’ll mention I’ve been given a double eagle.

Nice!! Congrats!! Love the smile. Amazing gift. Now, to find 5.56 ammo....

My family thinks I'm off the charts at Christmas because there's one rule I follow.
Everyone must get 1 Toy under the tree.
Me, I received a Hyper Strike compound bow.
Its really cool, the arrows don't load from the notch, they load behind the tip, which is shaped like an egg.
ME GREAT HUNTER... Na, just have to dodge those funny looking Nerf set ups.

Nothing coin related.... Firearm related stuff....Mag holders, super cleaning kit, ammo can (personalized)... and other goodies. Oh yeah, a neat deck of cards. Fun times and calls from the daughters. Cheers, RickO

I gifted myself earlier this month. I've been getting into airgun shooting lately. It's just a little bit of a quiet style. This is a .177 caliber and the pellet travels just under the speed of sound, so there's no sonic blast. Until you hear the sound of hitting the target, you almost wouldn't know you're shooting.

My daughter thought I needed a full auto BB gun for Christmas.

My wife is supportive of my hobby/obsession and found some pewter replicas of coins on Etsy. Here they are next to the originals:

Nice. Is the issuer of the replicas known?

Does she have one for herself too?

Generally I only ask for things for my son instead of me. You reach a point in life, sometimes, when you can afford what you want and it’s hard for people to find you things. Although this year my mom got me a nice $5 Confederate bank note so that was really nice and much appreciated.

Well I didn't get anything coin related but my wifey bought me a couple things to help find some coins. A new Garrett AT Pinpointer and some new digging tools and a Garrett waist bag to carry most of it. Lol

I received a few shirts from my wife.
My dad used to tell me that I needed to find a good woman, one that bought me shirts. He was right.
