The "Death Valley Days" episode "The Private Mint of Clark, Gruber and Co." from 1962 is discussed here also:

Actress Sue Randall, who played Martha Clark, is more recognizable as the teacher on "Leave it to Beaver".

The episode is also on my website under "Coins on Television"

That paper in the OP would cost you a trime, back in the day. I don't believe that I have heard of Clark Gruber until I saw them on the @dcarr website. I may have to do some diggin' on the subject.

Obviously, Mr. Wilson from Dennis the Menace was not consulted on the proper way to hold a coin in this episode Death Valley Days...

In the newer 2013 version of the movie it's an Ike dollar. :(

And now for the $64,000 Question:

What is the date and mint of the Old Ranger's belt buckle silver dollar?

Years ago, when I lived in Arizona, I purchased a silver dollar belt buckle... It was a Morgan.... I believe I still have it somewhere.... maybe.... have had a couple of major life experiences since then... ;) Cheers, RickO

I once obtained an 1896-o micro-o Morgan Dollar that was in a big old belt buckle.

I can imagine some old "cowboy" walking around, proud of his big silver dollar belt buckle, not knowing the whole time that it was a vintage counterfeit.
