I say yes. They are a completely dysfunctional franchise. I’m rooting for them to not win a game. Lol
Quite dysfunctional.
I still remember reading this story about Gase about one year ago. The Jets are a mess.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/ny-adam-gase-jets-fans-20191224-aqdwksbo5nditexjl65gvdb6ye-story.html?outputType=amp
Adam Gase is 7-20 since taking over as the Jets head coach. Last year, the Jets offense averaged 273 yards per game, and this year at this time, they are averaging 268.8 yards per game.
I think it is highly likely and that during the next couple of weeks the decision to "dump" will be made.
Maybe the Jets are playing the long con and hired him as HC on purpose to get the number one pick this year?
They play the Rams on Dec. 20. Believe me......anything could happen......and it probably will!
I forgot he was the coach of the Dolphins for a couple of years, he had a regular season record of 23-25 there.
When you see that your next opponent is the Jets....
I hate spellcheck.
Adam Gase is definitely aware that he is at the top of the list for coaches on the hot seat. He knows.
It would be fun to see someone challenge the Bucs 0-26 streak.
And the Jets fans have had little to cheer about, I mean they haven't been to a Super Bowl in a LONG time.
The Jets last Super Bowl party....
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I resemble that remark!
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
@2dueces, I'm starting to get up there in age, I found my first gray hair a few months ago, and it was traumatic! 😂😂
And then coach Gase said, "Ok guys, we can't let them score on this drive."
My thoughts exactly.
With Jared Leaf at QB.
Just embrace it. With age (God willing) comes much understanding.
@thisistheshow, It's not age I'm worried about, it's what comes with the age. I've heard stories, terrible stories!
I had my first hemorrhoid long before my first gray hair. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@thisistheshow
I’m really going to laugh if they go 0-16 then Lawrence decides to stay at Clemson for another year 😂😂😂
That’s something I didn’t think of. Good one perk.
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
I have listened to different discussions and viewpoints on this. If I had had to guess, I'd say that even if the Jets have the 1st pick he still goes pro, and I expect a lot of possible movement or rumors of movement at the top of the draft order with maybe another team trading up to number one.
If the Eagles are not on the Jets’ schedule, the answer is yes, 0 - 16.
They came close today against the Raiders. Oh, well.
Hey, the LEAF looked pretty good today against the Cardinals. Rams in first place in the toughest division in the league. Leaf threw for 351 yards, no fumbles, no interceptions, and Leaf even ran one in for a TD. O.k., a one yard run but 6 points. GO LAMBS!
Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is under fire over yesterdays call that cost the Jets the game. With 13 seconds left in the game, the Raiders were trailing 28-24. They had the ball on the Jets 46 yard line on a 3rd and 10, and Gregg Williams dialed up an all out blitz with zero coverage. It was a call that cost the Jets their first win. Derek Carr said "I couldn't believe they called an all out blitz, I was thankful." To read about the heat Gregg Williams is taking for his call, follow the link.

Usually I am not a fan of the three man rush, “prevent defense” late in the game. Time after time I have seen quarterbacks stand in the pocket and cut defenses to pieces because they had so much time. If you are in the last minute or two of the game, I think that it’s a poor strategy.
However for the last play of the game, you need to keep the receivers in front of you. Who cares if they gain 30 or 40 yards and don’t score? It’s game over. Yes, the Jets’ defensive coordinator blew it, but when you are bad and unlucky, stuff happens.
Yes, the Jets will duplicate the Cleveland Browns record this year. But the Jet fans can hope. Back in the mid 1960s, the team changed its name from the Titans to the Jets, hired Weab Eubank as the coach, and pulled the biggest surprise in Super Bowl history with Joe Namath. In football turnarounds can come quickly.
Gregg Williams should've been fired and #38 should've been cut before they left the field
ladies and gentlemen, the New York Jets
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Almost hard to believe that defensive call.
I agree - that defensive coordinator has to be fired over that, especially considering the Jets dismal record, etc.
🤔
They just fired Gregg Williams. Now hear this, Gregg Williams just got canned!

The bottom line is if I’m the jets and do have the pick, I’m taking Lawrence and even if it came out that he was > @doubledragon said:
Just another example of idiotic decisions made by a coach this year. I absolutely believe I could make better decisions than some of these complete morons.
Greg Williams was promptly fired today.
He kept the Trevor Lawrence prize alive. He was MVP yesterday
"I spent 50% of my money on alcohol, women, and gambling. The other half I wasted.
the more i think about it and the more i watch it, i've come to the conclusion that under the circumstances that's the worst play call i have ever seen in any sport since i've been alive
having the lead and dialing up a zero blitz with 13 seconds left in the game and leaving an undrafted rookie corner on an island with a guy who runs a sub-4.3 is grounds for never working anywhere ever again, and that includes in-and-out burger
seriously, that's a half-step above throwing the game intentionally
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Yes, rest assured, if Gregg Williams worked at McDonald's and you ordered a Big Mac, he would dial up a salad.
Heck, if Gregg Williams worked at McDonald's, and you ordered a Big Mac, there's no telling what you might get.
grounds for never working anywhere ever again, and that includes in-and-out burger
in-and-out burger pays their store managers ~$150K a year.
suffice to say we can light Williams' application and resume on fire for that gig
now if in-and-out hires seasonal pandemic employees to make certain that patrons remain 6 feet apart, that might actually be a role he excels in, seeing as that was roughly the distance between the cornerback he hung out to dry and henry ruggs yesterday
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
Wow! I stopped watching the game with just seconds left on the clock. Thought for sure that the Jets had it in the bag. Unbelievable defensive call. I am not generally a fan of the prevent defense, but sometimes.........?
Even if they'd just played it straight up, that likely wouldn't have happened. All out blitz? Williams was likely trying to make some sort of asinine statement to his players that completely backfired. He does have a huge ego. What an idiot.
serious question -- are there any rumors of the fix being in to preserve the top spot in the draft?
we all know Williams's role, but watch the play again -- #38 is biting on a double move when the only play that can win the game is a streak to the house
i'm not cynical by nature, but i am having a very hard time wrapping my head around this one
you'll never be able to outrun a bad diet
I sure hope not. They did fire Williams so that would lead me to believe not but I get what you're saying. The DB made a terrible mistake for the situation but I sure hope for the sanctity of the game that was all it was. If it there is truth to it, they should forfeit their first three picks, be fined heavily, and the GM and HC fired.
Its right there in my top 3 now. Not in any particular order but that play, Coach Nagy ordering Trubitsky to take a knee rather than run the ball to get his kicker in a better position last year because he was afraid of a fumble even though his RB had a career game and the kicker missed, then one of the best was years ago I think it might have been Marriuchi or some idiot that won the coin toss for OT and KICKED to the other team and Ofcourse the other team drive right down the field, kicked a FG and won lol that was before the OT rule changes which make it more laughable
No, that would be Marty Freaking Mornhinweg when he was the head coach of the Lions. He chose to pick the field direction instead because of the wind. And the fact that, at the time, the team kicking off in OT won more often than the receiving team.
The Lions fired him at the end of that season and cited that decision as one of the reasons.
LOL I just googled that and was going to update my post.
