New Pickup — My 1st Seated Liberty Half [GTG] [Grade Revealed in Thread]

Hello folks. Just picked up my first Seated Liberty Half ever, which will reside in my collection as my example for the type. It's PCGS straight graded, and I thought a little GTG might be fun. Here's the coin:
Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!

Looks like a brush of wear on the leg and breast, 58?
I see it as an XF45. Nice looking half.
AU50 by current standards. XF45 by the standards of 40 years ago.
My first impression was XF but I'm settling on AU.

I am between 50 and 55 so I'll say 53. Do they still use that?
Choice 53, Avg 55

AU50. Wholesome coin.
Congratulations. AU55, shot AU53.

I was thinking 55. Looks nice.
I'm going to say 53 ... pretty good looking example. Congrat's!

Here's the coin in motion, in case the in-hand look is helpful:

The video makes the coin appear much more lustrous than the stills do. I'll bump my guess to 53, shot 55.
Pix in first post put it at 50. Seeing the short videos, 53.
AU-55
Looks to have quite a lot of surface abrasion on the obverse especially, so I'll say 50.
I guess AU55. Nice coin.

I believe it’s a weak strike showing on her leg. Looks like 58 to me.
A very pretty piece.👍
Was 55 from pictures, going to bump it to 58 from the videos

55-58.
I like it a lot! 58.
55 based on both,
p.s. frankly if I watch that dizzying swivel another few seconds I'd have barfed all over my keyboard.
More luster visible in the video. I see some flatness on Liberty's leg though, maybe strike weakness. I'll adjust my opinion up to 53. The reverse is very nice and high AU.
58 or so; my first Seated half was a high end AU58 that was totally original. Neat design.
Looks like au58
I grade it very nice!
I knew it would happen.
Grade Revealed in this Post

Here's the distribution of guesses. I took the lower if folks provided a range, and the last provided if folks guessed twice (a few did after I posted the videos).
This coin resides in a PCGS AU50 holder. Congrats to @TennesseeDave who not only hit the grade on the nose, but also called out the probable reason. Congrats also to @291fifth
The original set of photos was from the seller. The two in this post are mine, which capture the true in-hand luster better, and also show the field hairlines more prominently.

Very nice example as your first! Here's a tidbit few know. The seated design was based largely on the Britania found on British coins at the time. A pole and cap replace the trident. Sort of a jab at the British?
Very nice coin for grade, and apparently quite lustrous too.
Was going to say 55.
I hope you got the coin for AU50 price or better. If so I feel you made a wise purchase. Beautiful coin. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I was going to say 55.... but got here late... Still a nice addition to your collection. Cheers, RickO
