Welcome newbies and lurkers!

It’s great to see all of the new collectors to the forums, and I am sure there are many like me who read and enjoy the posts but don’t do much posting of our own.

I have been “lurking” for many years and I am curious of how many other lurkers are also regular forum visitors. Here is your chance to introduce yourself!

If you are so inclined, post in this thread if you are new to the hobby/forums or if you are a seasoned lurker. It would also be awesome to let us know what you are currently interested in (my interests change weekly).

I’ll start. I collect a little bit of everything. I am putting together a PSA 6 1948 Bowman set, love Startling Lineup cards, and started getting into vintage oddball Star Wars cards.

Lurker here. I have been a member for a long time but dont comment too much. I come here to learn, mostly, and covet of course. I love building sets of Baseball and football. Especially love the sets from the 80's (my childhood). My Player collection is Warren Moon (no surprise). Do collect a little bit of the modern but not much. I also have nearly every card I ever bought, still. Have sold a few but not many. Love to trade on these boards and have found many wonderful collectors with amazing cards that make my collection look like a pack of 1990 score

@ghooper33 - great idea and thank you for sending out a welcome to our new (and quiet) members! I really enjoy learning about what others collect, why they started, etc. I hope we get a lot of replies here.

Todd Tobias - Grateful Collector - I focus on autographed American Football League sets, Fleer & Topps, 1960-1969, and lacrosse cards.

    Hi, great post!
    I've been a lurker and semi-parttime contributor since '09.

My interests since 2009 have remained fairly steadfast.
HOF baseball rookies and/or 1st mainstream cards (pre-war). T206 thru modern day and beyond.
Today's price action has priced me out of some of the remaining acquisitions.

I branched out thru the years to the so-called almost-hall. Gil Hodges, Dale Murphy, etc.
Earlier this year I put more emphasis on the 80s & 90s rookie classes.
Lately I've double-backed to fill additional rookies with a different brand. Recently bought the '90 Bowman Frank Thomas while already having the Leaf version from years ago.

You can never have enough rookies!

Another lurker here on and off for a few years. Just started trying to post a bit more.

I've been collecting since the early 80's - about 80% football, some basketball and some misc. Recently decided the collection was too big and I'd rather focus on quality than quantity. So I've sold off about 90% of my collection and am just focusing on building a Top 10 NFL HOF Rookie set. (Plus I'll keep a few 49er autograph cards I got personally signed back when I was a kid.)

Lurker here also. Been collecting on and off since 10 years old (1972). I've been a PSA club member since 1996 and submit cards once or twice a year. I read the forum to stay connected with the hobby, hear stories, find out what's hot, etc... I'm all over the place with my collection but lean more to vintage. I've completed only three player sets: Willie Mays, Julius Erving and Steve Largent. I feel like I have really experienced the evolution of our hobby from the days of rubber bands, shoeboxes and trading to opening packs with gloves, card savers and monetary intent. Just rolling with it--- collecting what I like, liking what I collect. There is an abundance of knowledge and experience from fellow collectors on this forum that are extremely willing to offer advice and help. I salute you all. Carry on...........

Love the Star Wars Hershey Cards! I have a few and don’t know whether to keep them as is or cut them out for grading.
