So how did Crisser get internet access? Thought the asylums didn’t allow that 🤣

    Crisis and chaos create opportunity

  • It’s all about perspective. I feel like I can’t lose; either I get to sit back and continue to watch my cards appreciate or if a “crash” happens then I get to buy a lot of my dream cards for cheap.

What do you think is the percentage of the overall card market that unopened is a market driver? We have singles, unopened vintage, unopened modern, etc.

Might be time for @rtimmer to resurrect that unopened thread after the last time the crisser declared the market dead, lol..

On my way Tim, here’s the old post with my next double down that things are going up 20% vs down 20% from here:

Yeah, I don't see much/any movement on unopened overall. I don't see a crash either, but if it did happen I am diving in big. I think there are many others who would also dive in big and any correction, big or small, will be temporary and have to be the result of outside factors such as terrible economic conditions.

I would like to see normal, steady growth and not the silliness of late as it is not sustainable especially current product.

I have no freaking clue BUT the amount of say pre 2000 unopened decreases daily so that will always work against any market decline, which would be short lived if at all. Also, the post 2000 unopened market ain't no slouch either.

Oh no did they ban him for being so wrong on his predictions? I didn’t even know that was possible but would make me feel good if that is the reason.

No noticeable dips yet......but we'll see what happens in a couple of years when Min Wage is $15 and we're paying $10 for a loaf of bread

From my point of view, it has been a good time to both buy and sell. The rising prices have forced me to work a little harder and be more creative when I buy. I have made some of my best unopened deals during the rally but not on the popular stuff everyone else is chasing.

Min wage in LA is already $15. Bread is still cheap. Housing not so much. The hobby is strong in this marketplace.

Yeah me too. He had his way of going against the grain; maybe the sky was falling too many times but I like to chuckle at the dooms-dayers.
Todd, would he be allowed to come back some day? He was very anti-investor; I think more of a hobbyist

i know it's hard to read a person over an internet message board, especially when they are giving each other crow and you are on the sidelines. in todays world of inside jokes and cryptic posts, i can honestly say i loved the crisser, his posting style and how he lovingly let the boards criticism bead off him like water off a ducks back. not necessarily here, but it seems there's tons of internet tough guys and keyboard warriors. it's rare & refreshing to be able to completely disagree on a particular subject matter w/o resulting to personal attacks or name calling. to me, that says more about a person than they could ever say about themself. after all it's called a discussion board for a reason, right?

was sad when i noticed the red icon display and not sure what transpired to get the hammer, but hopefully it can get lifted or he's allowed to come back as the crosser. i was so looking forward to the eventual bubble pop that will eventually occur in 5 - 10 years and his "told ya so" post.

there's good trolls and bad trolls. crisser was a good troll. and trolls deserve love too.
